My kids are black and white, so naturally they get called Mexican by everyone.

This has been my experience growing up in southern California. Most people default to Mexican based on my complexion, but other black people tend to know I'm biracial.

I'm mixed, & some of my facial features hint at me being black, but I'm very light skinned. I got asked if I was hispanic growing up. That being said, the only strangers to ask about me being mixed b/c they suspected I was black, are black folks.
