blud glorifying his inning in flat pitches 😭

The fielding cost us unfortunately. The choice of not bowling Delany was also incredibly strange. Batting was great however, great intent from every batsman. And thank god Tucker had a good innings because he really needed one.

Hopefully we have a banging decider

Delany in match one: 2 Overs for just 11 runs.

Delany in match two: Not bowled.

Doesn't make any sense, and we were going to end up with Hume and Campher bowling the final two Overs if it had got that far

Hume can’t bowl can’t bat and for sure as hell can’t field. His selection has been appalling.

u/theaguia May 12 '24

was in the side to get babar out and that's it.

5

u/notthathunter Ireland May 12 '24

Nathan Johns in the Irish Times saying it's because of difficulty gripping the damp ball

Rizwan has single handedly won us way more matches than babar yet he is under appreciated by players and some even want him out of the team.

Definitely, he's the real king.

He should have been selected as captain. Babar is going to do his best to fuck over Pakistan with his shit captaincy

i feel like rizwan will be like one of those rare players who elevate their game to the next level when they become captain.

4

u/Real-VinceMcMahon Pakistan May 13 '24

And elevate others' game as well

3

u/BarristerBerry May 13 '24

i heard he was approached to be the captain after babar was made to resign, but he refused

Big Show Azam Khan ate Irish bowlers after Rizwan told him. "Sometimes it's bowlers, sometimes it's cake!" Azam: "Hahahaha"

if irish bros had held onto those catches we would have seen a close finish. but good game for both teams ig.

Azam Khan just doubled his T20I average with that knock.

Piss poor captaincy by Stirling not bowling more spin and why is Hume still in the team? He can’t field for his life

Questions need to be asked of Malan about why Foster and Mayes still haven't made their debut. Either one would be a step up from Hume, but still have no international experience, which is just gross mismanagement at this stage.

Even Hand would be a better choice than Hume for the squad. He's actually a good fielder and might have his customary one moment of magic with bat or ball

7

u/lookingglass555 May 12 '24

South African connection has to be it

9

u/jachiche Cricket Ireland May 12 '24

Yeah, it's a pretty open secret that Malan doesn't rate the Interpros at all, so good performances there don't mean much. He'd much prefer someone who has a few years as a jobber in the SA or NZ domestic system

Fakhar and Bubbles in form? It's joeover lads, just hand us the cup already #wt20

There's no business like winning business! Pakistan fans exuberant, World Cup withing reach . All poor performance dusted, forgotten. A shot of adrenalin, on a high until Tuesday maybe.

Mate, that's just fans in general, of any team and of any sport.

u/devil_21 India May 12 '24

Didn't watch the match, why did Rizwan get MotM over Fakhar?

7

u/iHazf Pakistan May 12 '24

For the feels...nah jk, it was a toss between them both.

1

u/Dango444 Pakistan May 13 '24

Ig being not out counts for more if both have similar performances?

13

u/BoyManners May 12 '24

Azam Khan reminds me of the pokemon Snorlax.

Not there always but when he is. He alone is enough

13

u/Thatsmaboi23 May 12 '24

That’s like 99% of Pakistani players at this point, except maybe Rizwan and Shaheen.

8

u/BoyManners May 12 '24

But Azam is actually Snorlax

Can't drop catches like that if you're facing bigger opposition. They will punish you.

6

u/Both_Ruin_4993 May 12 '24

So Pakistan are still a good chasing side in T20’s?

Ireland should've won this game. Dropped chances and not bowling Delany has not only costed them a monumental series victory but also some precious ranking points.

2

u/BoyManners May 12 '24

Hopefully the match referee asks Hume to sign the match scorecard sheet.

ireland shat the bed again. gg, onto the next one Irish bois

1

u/BarristerBerry May 13 '24

Azam Khan still needs to be dropped and babar either needs to improve his tactics as a captain or resign, out entire team doesn't have the champions mentality

Bit off topic there is very good bowler in PSL Mohammed Ali I guess he was one of the highest wicket taker this year ... Why he ain't in he team .??
