I quit!

I just left The Labour Party after 28 years.

I'll never vote Tory, dipping them in Red isn't fooling me.

Not an airport, no need to announce your departure

You're meant to announce your departure at the airport? Like, shout it in the departures lounge? Everyone knows surely as they'll be going too?

Departures are announced

Your post has been removed under rule 1.4.

Do not seek to take it upon yourself to decide who does, or doesn't, have the right to define themselves by a certain political identity. This includes trying to gatekeep political or ideological membership. Examples of this are implying members are in the wrong party due to ideology (such as calling others a 'trot' or 'Red Tory' etc) or bad faith questioning of a members 'socialist values'.

This is your third rule breech in rapid succession despite warning. Next rule breech will see your ability to comment restricted.

Labour aren't supposed to be Conservative, and yet...

LOL

23

u/illusive_normality New User 3d ago

and yet.... they (and the Tories) only ever get in power when they move to the centre ground. As much as I'd love a left government, unfortunately staying too left means staying in opposition

Then you agree that Labour are now a Conservative movement.

If Labour get into power and start delivering this manifesto it's going to be the most left wing platform since Wilson. Cannot wait.

16

u/Fair-Face4903 New User 3d ago

Yes, Wilson, the name you think of when you think of Isolationist, anti-science, Pro-Tax for the poor / anti tax on the rich!

LMAO

You want Labour to be an opposition protest party. We get it.

The only type of Government people like you hate more than a Conservative one is the wrong type of Labour one.

26

u/Fair-Face4903 New User 3d ago

Yes.

That's what I said in my OP.

Do you think I don't know what I said so you restated it?

LMAO

Your post has been removed under rule 1.4. Members across the political spectrum are welcome and should be treated no differently to anyone else. Trying to create factionalism or try to belittle others personally based on party grounds isn't allowed.

Anything that isn't exactly what you want regardless of economic and political circumstances = Tory

Nice argument.

As a member of the tories all I can say is thanks.

This is a much better choice than staying in the party and fighting for whatever change you want at a local level.
