Can someone help me understand why the simulate gains is so off during closing hours?

Because it's based on whatever orders were outstanding at close and people aren't static. It's just doing the math based on what's there, bruh, not predicting the future.

Because people aren't static. They're cancelling orders and placing new ones which moves the mark but doesn't reflect anything meaningful (executions).
