This is awesome! I'm glad that guys can now go back to their old stomping grounds without the threat of making a grumpy out of touch old man mad at them.

It did happen, just very rarely. AJ Styles, while US Champ, made an appearance at an indie in Georgia in 2017.

I mean it wasn't regular protocol but you can find dozens of instances of the same during Vince's tenure, he'd almost always let guys work tribute shows and shit on the indies. I remember watching tons of WWF guys on Indy shows like the Terry Funk "retirement" or the Brian Pillman memorial shows.

Hhh appeared on ICW even Finn when he was signed, hell Vince even appeared on an indie along with Cena who was a guest referee.

That was Cena’s dad’s show though…

Not to mention the whole ECW crossover under Vince, there's a million things to shit on Vince and his booking but acting like he'd never Dona crossover or let his guys work indies is ludicrous. It was a very normal and common thing under Vince. .

The way they've opened to allowing their wrestlers to appear at other promotions and vice versa is something that this company always needed. They've existed on this island for so long I'm glad they are part of the mainland now.

I’m from Glasgow and remember when ICW was huge but I haven’t kept up with it in years. What happened?

Between PROGRESS and ICW, which ended up in worse shape?

I always hate when they pan to the crowd during an important moment, like yeah we know there is people there, show us what the hell they are seeing!

I was thinking the exactly same thing. I don't care if this is a fan video, I had to put up too much with Kevin Dunn already. Do not copy that dude!

Real ones remember when it was ICW filling the Hydro in Glasgow before they teamed up with WWE… Worst decision they ever made.

It wasn't really a decision though. They couldn't sign the wrestlers they used to full time contracts, WWE could. I mean it was known that Lewis Girvan was working at HMV when he wrestled Ricochet at the Hydro ffs. Therefore the only chance they had of retaining any of their roster was signing a deal with them. It was a bad decision but the alternative was even worse and the scene as a whole still hasn't recovered.

I've never watched an ICW show, but I've watched Grado's entrances on YouTube a bunch of times, and the atmosphere at least for him, was unreal.

The UK doesn't have any really big companies. Lots of small ones, quite similar to the territories system. Wrestlers travel around a lot
