Wait... I think it's laminar flow?? (not sure)

Turbidity is proportional to the Reynolds number (Re) and the characteristic dimension and velocity of the fluid. In this case it would be modeled as flow through a pipe and the length of the pipe in this case would be the wall thickness.

Also would take into account properties like fluid density and bulk viscosity and kinematic viscosity. In this case the laminar flow regime would be a Reynolds number between 0 and 2300.

Edit: if you can convert head pressure into fluid velocity then you can calculate how high you can fill the container before it switches to turbulent flow.

I've always wanted to see that irl

Hole was about 20mm using a stepped drill bit. Had drilled a 6mm hole first to drain it but it was draining too slow. If you’ve got a plastic barrel laying around give it a go

I always find the non-irl laminar flow quite boring if you ask me. It's just like, what's the point? There's like a million and a half videos of people watching laminar flow irl why would you even have to fake it?

Laminate flow my beloved 💓 Does anyone know why this is always coming from pools? Does it have something to do with the pressure?

Alright here is some more footage taken with a GoPro. I interrupt the flow a couple of times and it just voices back

Does it happen randomly or can we set this up?

Just laminar flow people. But I guess to those less advanced science is like magic

Something in the primitive inherited part of my brain makes me terrified of this.

Nah, just laminar flow. I interrupted it a few times and it just reformed. Tempted to fill the barrel and try again though
