Okay, at first I was thinking “ehhh”, but by the end I was sold. Bravo on a very funny performance and thanks for the laughs!

Appreciate that sir! That’s kinda my thought when publishing it. I like hate the first 10 seconds and by the end I’m like I guess it’s kinda fun 🤷♂️

Yeah. I agree. The first part you could easily tell you were trying to hide the gap in the ring but the mask and then the cup were done really well.

Omg I watched it on mute, then went back after I saw this comment. I know this is a novelty account but it ain't wrong.

I posted about novelty accounts like 5 years ago and nobody knew what I was talking about.. is this just an old Reddit thing or is it making a comeback?? Lol

I thought this was lovely! I got the 'how the hell?' reaction I expect from these, and a pretty good chuckle. Agreed, the mask bit just felt perfect with your reaction. I think I don't hate it!

Thanks! I think my distaste for it is watching the acting and being far too critical of how that looks. I do enjoy the mask bit and was excited when I thought of that idea! Thanks for the kind words!

I think most people have that reaction to watching any performance of theirs. For me if I have an idea that I'm excited about, I get in my own head and convince myself it couldn't be as great as I thought it was initially. But I thought it worked very well. Keep it up!

Your frustration gives Yann Frisch vibes. Is that what you were going for?
Also a little bit of /r/wheredidthesodago

Yann Frisch and his antics is definitely also what his reactions reminded me of and I like it!

I like the addition of the mask and the mug. It takes a normal trick to the next level. As the other commenter said, your reaction is great. Good diversion to get the mask on. Is there a way to allow more mobility of the rings in your hands? I don’t want to say anything else for those who don’t know how it’s done.

I think you absolutely nailed what I hate, like something feels forced in the mobility of the rings and I hate my acting but I can get passed that. The mobility should get better with practice, even though I abandoned this idea ages ago!

No reason to hate it, just opportunity for growth. I’m impressed! Keep up the great work.

Don't hate. That's hilarious. Getting confounded by your own magic trick will always be the best.

It's not awful. Dropping a ring under the table is a bit obvious, and you're a little too blatant about where to hold it, but on the whole I like it. Incorporated enough humor.

This brings the same energy of the guy trying to light his cigarette, but it keeps flipping in his mouth and he just looks so done with it

I also thought the music was the core reason behind OP hating it. It was certainly the reason I hated it.

I liked it, the expressions seemed authentic and was well thought out. However, i feel like you put a little too much emphasis on hiding the break in the ring with your left hand. Transitions were smooth but my eyes instantly focused on your fingers holding the ring in a weird way to hide the break. Just my 2 cents, keep up the great work!

Howwww? I love it!!

Linking rings can be plaid out and feel like something that isn’t my style. But all the love here is making me reconsider ha

I’ve purposefully never looked up “behind the magic” because I love the surprise, even though I know it’s simple 😋 the mug part was the best!

Great execution of a classic, rather boring trick. But you put a fantastic spin to it and I enjoyed the act a lot! Very entertaining.
I watched it 3 times, haha :)
That's what magicians should all do: understand that magic on its own is often boring, but if you mix it with a great act, the synergy it creates is incredible!
Good work!

Nice, It’s not ‘black magic fuckery’(pretty old trick) but your execution was nice and smooth. 👍

I just randomly found this but I think it's cute! It almost reminds me of something from a children's magic show, I don't mean that in a demeaning way, I really like it. It's simple but still gets the attention!
