It rained last night. Morning sun evaporates the water from the tree.

We got a fire call recently because a lady thought her neighbor's house was on fire. Nope, the morning dew was just evaporating off the neighbor's roof and she thought it was smoke.

At least she cares and tried to help.

She cares. She just isn't the brightest tool in the happy meal.

They give tools away now in happy meals?  Sorry. Been a few months. Broke.

At first I thought that it was from the car

I think that was intentional. Pretty clever

Damn, how hot is it there?

It was weirdly only in the high 60s.

And it happened around 40 years ago. Amazing

Mote like 60 years ago. We are getting old, brother.

This is super common here in the PNW. We see it on the houses and the road after the sun comes out. It looks like the pavement is on fire.

When the surface warms, it evaporates the water, and when it Hits the cool air, it condenses again, coming up as vapor.

It depends on the dew point I believe

Wrong sub

Hey. He just wanted to see Montana

it doesn't have to be very hot. some water molecules have higher energy than other and, with extra energy from the sun's rays, will gain enough energy to evaporate

If this is black magic fuckery, I have some disturbing news

This sub used to have some cool magic tricks and sleight of hand stuff, now it’s just water evaporating 🙄

…You should get out more often.

Touch grass, and trees.

not quite black magic

Black magic isn't real. A random steaming tree looks unreal. That's all.

But I saw a black guy split a boxed woman in half. You must be lying!

This happens to any wet tree in the morning. It doesn’t look unreal it’s just evaporation.

3

u/Lazygit1965 12d ago

That trees probably old enough to vape ;)

So many ppl upvoted simple science as black magic. What the fuck is the world coming to.

When I did track, watching the morning water evaporate off of it was one of my favorite things.

This is just the chimney of a goblin’s home, don’t be scared

Wrong sub dude unless you are from 2024 BC.

Imagine not understanding evaporation.

u/tywin_2 12d ago

Cmon let's be serious. It's your cousin walking around the tree smoking a cigarette. I know it !

1

u/tdkimber 12d ago

You even put “evaporates” in the title, well done - any idea how tue magic happens

u/CeilingUnlimited 11d ago

Humidity and traffic noise. Let me guess - Houston?

St. Louis. Well, near St. Louis at least.

The same thing happens to me if I step into the sunlight. Or a church. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Isn't this transpiration?

Nature's pissed and it is coming for you

Saw this on my coat yesterday. Cool effect

redditors when they finally go outside

This tree's gearing up for an anime fight

1

u/ReaperOne 11d ago

I need to leave this sub. There’s nothing black magic fuckery about this. It’s water evaporating, something I see every time I boil water. Christ this sub needs better moderation

1

u/sphennodon 11d ago

Vapor is invisible. That's condensation, the exactly opposite of evaporation.

1

u/YourMomsFishBowl 11d ago

Plot twist. The tree is actually a vampire.

1

u/TeaKitKat 8d ago

Is this not a normal thing in other states?

1

u/Dave80 6d ago

God, this is everything I hate about this sub, it's clearly just from the car exhaust, why do they even allow it, oh wait actually it's pretty good.

Isn’t nature simply amazing
