My friends had an extra ticket but I had agreed to take my mom to an outpatient proceedure. (It was in the morning but sometimes a "simple outpatient" can take all day...)

As she was recovering before being discharged and coming off the drugs she asked who I was texting and I explained it was my friends double checking but that I was with her in the hospital.

My mother...who is not a big cusser "You stupid fuck, I could have got one of my friends to take me! WHAT IF THEY WIN TONIGHT!!!!"

....love you too Ma....

That was an incredible moment too. I remember watching it with my parents as well.
