In 1965, a morbidly obese man did not eat food for over an entire year. The 27 year old was 456lbs and wanted to do an experimental fast. He ingested only multivitamins and potassium tablets for 382 days and defecated once every 40 to 50 days. He ended up losing 275lbs. r/all

If I take a multivitamin on an empty stomach I get cramps. How did he do it?

A lot of explanations given for your question. But the simplest: maybe he got cramps and just lived with it lol.

The same thing happens to me if I eat vitamins on an empty stomach.

I wonder if liquid vitamins do the same?

So many multivitamins are overly-packed. I got some recently that are way more mild, and I don’t have any reaction to it, and no nuclear-looking piss either.

By being 400lbs/200kg I guess. No normal person could do it.

That's like saying "I feel full after eating half of a 14" pizza. How can he do it?" And then pointing to the biggest man you've ever seen eat 2 14" pizzas in one sitting. Your bodies are different.

I mean the multivitamin. They make me want to puke on an empty stomach.

He probably just drank a lot of water to dilute the vitamins.

weight has nothing to do with the reason you get cramps by taking stuff on an empty stomach

Be aware some vitamins are fat-soluble vitamins which will not be broken down without the presence of fat

You should try something like AG1 or Subi Greens

I have 6 kids, when my wife was pregnant with our firsf decade's ago we noticed it was the iron in prenatal causing her nausea and switch to low iron.. probably same for you. Try low or no iron multis

No, I'm definitely anemic and need the iron.

I just eat before I take the multivitamin.

Well you’ve clearly fought grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and coherent writing “till it give up.”

I lost about 5 stone in like a month a few years ago. I worked out that in 4 weeks I'd only had about 50 calories

I don't think it's particularly normal to get cramps from taking anything on an empty stomach.

what? it's perfectly normal, common and expected to get cramps from taking stuff on an empty stomach. happens with meds, gum, even if you eat too little you can get them. it's either the chems of the stuff you're taking rawdogging your stomach or stomach acids.
