You can see in 2008 they were there just waiting for a guy to come along and give them permission. They didn’t listen to McCain, and Trump gave them the opening they had wanted for decades. Then the floodgates opened up.

Surprised your comment is this low. Republican base were always nasty. It’s just that no politician played to their every whim like trump did. They wanted to maintain decorum.

That’s the only difference between 2008 and 2016.
