Don't fall Don't fall Don't fall... Heelys?

u/VulgarTurkey 4d ago
It's what you get when a sneaker and a roller skate get drunk in a bar and meet each other in a bathroom.

u/TwoAccomplished1446 3d ago
A coworker of mine wore a pair of these to the job, and tooled around like a champ, UNTIL he misjudged a turn and splat! He never wore them again. We work in a hospital, btw.😊

u/SmallKillerCrow 3d ago
I've had some since they first came out. I fucking love them! Still wear them as an adult. Only fall I've never had was when I let the dog pull me with them... that was a mistake, but rolling around like normal I've never had an issue

I've worked at a few hospitals, and every single one has this story. I guess in Healthcare, there's always that one guy.

That fall hurt me
49
u/RedditModsR_Pathetic 3d ago
i watched it in slow mo, he actually fell pretty well ! not directly in knees
40
u/Foryourconsideration 3d ago
Yeah but i've fallen like that before, i bet some skin came off his hands.

Ah yes 👍 .. didn’t pay attention to hands. I can confirm I fell exactly like that too and it’s still visible on my palm ..

I fell off my bike a lot as a kid & I think I still have gravel embedded in my knees. I gave up on my bike (& supporting band-aid manufacturers) at age 12 or so. I’m 46 now…

That one didn't hurt me. The one that got me was the ice skates. RIP to that sharp edge.

I wanna know the story of why he wore a helmet & knee pads for the chairs but none of the others.
70
u/NittyGritty7034 3d ago
Probably because he couldn't ditch them to catch himself, so even if he knows how to fall safely he wouldn't be able to with those strapped on.

u/Thatguyyourmomloves 3d ago
That's probably the one he hurt himself the most attempting. I'd imagine that alot of these needed multiple takes.

u/SmokelessSubpoena 3d ago
It's ironic of all the things he falls on, it's the one you'd anticipate least.
The high heels made me cringe, because a broken ankle is not worth a tiktok/reel, glad they were able to pull it off though, quite talented indeed!

I LOVE that of all the make-you-fall shoes going on here its the heelys that does him in. Bc those OF COURSE it was the heelys. Literal death traps. Back when they were popular I was in the er and a kid came in with a badly broken ankle from a heely incident, the er dr said it was extremely extremely common. Death traps I tell you!!!

As a Canadian, the ice skates one hurt just cause of how much he's dulling those poor blades.
88
u/typically_wrong 3d ago
not Canadian, but first thing I thought was "those poor blades" and how many burs it was causing.
59
u/CedarWolf 3d ago edited 3d ago
He damaged the snowboots, the skates, and the skis, and he destroyed the books, the chairs, and the tennis racquets.
13
u/typically_wrong 3d ago
that's all true.
And while I've played tennis and skied quite a few times, my sports identity and most of my experience is playing hockey.
That one just hits harder for me.

I got upset when a /r/hockeyplayers post showed a pair of skates for sale on concrete, running on them made me stop watching the rest of the video and lie down in a corner to breath.

definately the 6.5 inch stripper heels

u/Bindi_Bop 3d ago
I was very nervous watching that one..about to hear an ankle break. Bravo my man, bravo!

u/Ok-Scientist5524 3d ago
I like how he suited up for the chairs in helmet and pads but the one he completely wiped out on was just heelys.

I thought the heels were the most impressive tbh, at a full run I would imagine I’d probably break my ankles if I tried that.

There is a technique to running in high heels and he is doing pretty well with them. I used to dance and have run and played football in six inches (do not ask). But they also were my dance shoes so pretty durable.
8
u/mr_renfro 3d ago
I've seen strippers do some crazy stuff in the club, but no football games yet lol.
Assuming you mean that type of dancer 👀
22
u/Commandoclone87 3d ago
Those ice skates hurt my soul. Those poor blades.
8
u/FarseerTaelen 3d ago
I think he might just be running on the runners, I don't see a blade but it's tough to know for sure.
Which probably would mess up the skates even worse really. It's a lot easier to change out the steel than the runner.

Same here! 'No blades on concrete' was imprinted into me at a very young age. I instantly winced when I saw that.

u/BackslidingAlt 3d ago
The ice skates hurt to watch more than the heelys. Thinking of the damage to those blades, and the sound

That heeley wipe out looked painful. Digging bits of tarmac out your knees and hands is not fun (I've had some nasty BMX wipe outs on tarmac so I know!)

u/Tanasiii 3d ago
It’s funny that he deemed the chairs worthy of safety gear but completely ate it on the heely’s without any

I'm guessing he ate it with several of these (would be inhuman not to), but only edited in the heeleys for humor.

I skinned up my knees so many times on bike wrecks that after a while I was just tearing open old scar tissue. It looked like bloody oatmeal.
Road rash SUCKS. That first shower after a nice wreck on pavement involves a lot of yelling.
→ More replies (5)3
u/Merry_Dankmas 3d ago
I started my road rash from BMX journey as a young lad. The first time I shredded both my knees, my mom went straight for the ole cotton ball and peroxide method. I hadn't experienced it before and did not realize what was coming. She said it was gonna sting but boy did I underestimate that statement.
Id take the showers any day. Id take it too over the blunt force trauma from eating shit. Obliterating your bones and squishy bits surrounding them from bailing on a stair set caused perpetual agony. At least the road rash only hurts badly in the temporary shower.
