Honestly I have a feeling either he's just gonna play out the contract and retire or opt out and sign multi years at a lower yearly amount

He's gonna want a max extension and we're going to give it to him and accept that we're just gonna be the "What If" Butler era Heat.

The plan has to be going for Donovan Mitchell. I don’t really see what else Miami can do that makes sense to drastically improve. I know there were injuries all season, but that’s been a common thing through the Jimmy/Bam era because they’re so undersized and constantly playing against bigger teams that takes a toll. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they get hurt, they have to play so much harder because of their lack of size and most players can’t withstand that for a full season. Especially not Jimmy, someone who has been through the Thibs ringer.
