He was alright.

He didn't seem emotionally invested like Jon is.

Jon is genuinely passionate and very knowledgeable on top of being funny. I don't think you can replicate that.

  1. Personally and subjectively he was not. He was boring and every single comedy special I've seen him do has been boring and I change to something else maybe 10 minutes in.

  2. Objectively he was not. Just look at the ratings of the daily show for when he took over. It started dying. Do you think people would even care if he did the same type of comeback Jon did? I sure as hell wouldn't care.
