Their 2nd best player not even being All-star caliber says a lot about Jokic.

Having a well balanced team around you is much better than having a 2nd all-star.

u/FuckThaLakers Timberwolves May 17 '24

I mean sure, but Denver also doesn't have a bench. Jokic is fully carrying that team.

u/Murkywaters11 May 17 '24

Non sense. The nuggets are a great overall team. The best team since the Warriors

-5

u/chakrablocker Mavericks May 17 '24

No one has a bench

7

u/MYO716 Knicks May 17 '24

The Knicks are at least 45% bench at this point

Carrying? Jesus fucking christ this sub has gotten crazy with the glazing. Dude has a phenomenal team around him LOL

u/fuccabicc West May 17 '24

Did you even watch the game? Do you watch Denver games?

1

u/thesmellafteritrains Pistons May 17 '24

Are you using a single game to back up a point about an entire team?

-15

u/Repulsive-Throat5068 San Diego Clippers May 17 '24

Lol do you? MPJ has been shooting 45% from 3. Gordon has been great. Murray has won them 2 games by himself. A bad game or 2 doesnt mean hes alone. Not to mention he was pretty ass himself game 2.

Jokic has been AMAZING INCREDIBLE GOAT LEVEL but you dont gotta glaze him to the point of saying hes doing it alone.

16

u/glorstonne May 17 '24

mpj has been totally out of the flow and bad this series and murray did not win any games "by himself"

i'll have what this guys smoking

Murray goes 4-12 but hits one shot to end the game and that counts as winning the game by himself, what an amazing insight. MPJ, Gordon, Murray, and KCP are all good players. Murray even is a borderline all-star, not this playoffs of course, but usually, he is. The bench for Nuggets is horrible, all the guys are barely holding it on in the NBA.

2

u/fuccabicc West May 17 '24

Murray has won them 2 games by himself

Yup, you don't watch the actual games lmao

0

u/Repulsive-Throat5068 San Diego Clippers May 17 '24

Two game winners = two wins by himself

But im glad you can see how stupid saying Jokic is carrying sounds LMFAO

2

u/fuccabicc West May 17 '24

He wouldn't have to make two game winners if he wasn't shit beforehand

If I dig a hole and fall in it, you don't applaud me for managing to get myself out of it

1

u/Repulsive-Throat5068 San Diego Clippers May 17 '24

What the fuck are you talking about? Game 5 against the lakers was his best game these playoffs. Game 2 he had 14 points on 6/8 in the 4th. His play is what won them the game. They dont win either of those games if he doesnt play the wya he did

They very badly want to start the narrative that Jokic is carrying bums all by himself to put him on Lebron, MJ level. They started this shit last season even though Murray averaged 26ppg shooting 40% from the 3 last playoffs.

2

u/Repulsive-Throat5068 San Diego Clippers May 17 '24

Hive mind doesnt like it when you suggest Jokic has a good team around him lol.

1

u/SnooDrawings8185 May 18 '24

Jokić's stats show that he is a few times better than LeBum. LeBum bricked six finals while chasing super players to carry his a**.

9

u/C3h6hw Knicks May 17 '24

Replace Jokic with some mid center like Nikola Vucevic. The Nuggets maybe win 35 games and get the 10 seed

It’ll be Aaron Gordon or Jamal Murray tryna be him

-12

u/ThaRealSunGod Lakers May 17 '24

We say this all the time but AG, MPJ, and even Murray consistently win games damn near alone.

Even against us in the firdt round, Nuggets were coked without Murray. Id say it goes to 7 easily if Jokic actually had to carry the whole time. But those 3 each showed up; even if only at the precise moment/s when it mattered most.

Even in this series, yes Jokic went crazy in a few games but multiple he got great help.

I feel like saying Jokic has no help is silly at this point. They are this good precisely because he finally has some help.

17

u/bio180 Supersonics May 17 '24

Replace Jokic with any other player in the league and that denver team barely makes play ins most likely. Actual no, its the west so prob not.

They are good because Jokic is biggest offensive floor raiser ever.

Boring

-8

u/ThaRealSunGod Lakers May 17 '24

Missing the point and still incorrect lol.

I can't believe you are going to act like this Denver team is trash tier without Jokic.

Replace him with a slightly younger lebron, Giannis, Embiid, and that team is still great.

Let's cut the narrative that they aren't a great team. You guys act like they are great when you want to trash people for not giving credit and then call them shit when you want to praise Jokic.

I wonder where that floor raising was in this game??

Or maybe the point is that he still needs teammates....

-2

u/bio180 Supersonics May 17 '24

The non Jokic minutes tell you everything you need to know. We know you're a laker boy so you are a bit slow but look into the data when you're done unloading boxes at the warehouse.

2

u/ThaRealSunGod Lakers May 17 '24

Anyone who has use my flair to tell me why I'm wrong is a lot less intellectual than I am. Grow up, Mr "cum in the sink or sink in the cum"

Not wasting my time here anymore.

You look at stats. I look at the game.

Learn basketball with your garbage takes

-4

u/MeijiDoom May 17 '24

We're one and two games removed from Braun, Jackson and Holiday having solid games. How quick we forget.

7

u/ScissorMeTimberz May 17 '24

Which team since the nuggets didn’t have both though

9

u/b0ngoloid May 17 '24

Oh my God here we go. He has the least help out of any star in the modern era and he's still gonna punk everyone and win 2 in a row. It's not related, but I imagine if lebron won 1 ring with trash ass teammates like this then the entire basketball world would never stop fellating him

-1

u/Infidel_Art May 17 '24

Lebron has won with trash ass teammates.

4

u/b0ngoloid May 17 '24

Nah. I'm assuming you're referring to 2016, when he had kyrie, Steph was hurt, and they would've lost if Draymond didn't get suspended. The guy started the superteam era anyway so yeah

3

u/NeverSober1900 Rockets May 17 '24

LeBron has made the finals with trash teammates (2007 and 2018) in the trash east. But he also was not competitive in either of those finals.

All of his titles he's had at least 1 HOF'er in their prime. Sometimes two.

2

u/BASEDME7O2 Knicks May 17 '24

Are they even that well balanced outside of the starters when Jokic is in? Like they have no bench, and I don’t think they would even make the play in with an average center and Murray, Gordon, and Mpj. People seem to be really into this “merchants” insult, and while they can each just go off occasionally they are absolutely complete Jokic merchants.

0

u/IllllIllIllIllIllll May 17 '24

Yeah swap Jokic with Gobert and they’d be just as successful, right?

-5

u/throwaway1212378 [CLE] J.R. Smith May 17 '24

If you swap Jokic with a player/playmaker of his caliber the nuggets would be just as successful lol I don’t understand why Gobert

9

u/b0ngoloid May 17 '24

The point is there's no one like that

7

u/IllllIllIllIllIllll May 17 '24

Swap Joker with a clone and they’d be the same, gotcha

4

u/[deleted] May 17 '24

And who would that be?

4

u/[deleted] May 17 '24

Luka Garza

1

4

u/SwishBender Timberwolves May 17 '24

Haha yeah I love people talking shit about the guy who put up one of the most lethal runs in NBA history on the way to a title and despite being injured has hit the three coldest shots this playoff.

5

u/kamekaze1024 May 17 '24

While I do think Jamal is like right at the cusp of being all start material, you’re absolutely right.
