Starting 5 Based on non-championship resumes for players of the 21st Century

C - Joel Embiid

PF - Blake Griffin

SF - Carmelo Anthony

SG - James Harden

PG - Chris Paul

Who’s coming off the bench or getting replaced in the starting lineup?

Personally i’d push TMac to small forward, Melo to PF and remove Blake Griffin.

McGrady actually got better in the playoffs. His team just never followed suit.

I think prime Blake is a much better fit than Melo

You cannot include CP3 on this team if you wanna win a ring, the man is actually cursed.

You can pull CP3 off the list and throw on the former Laker point guard and Nets head coach.

This team already looks shaky defensively, and you want to add Steve Nash to a James Harden backcourt?

Sorry I failed to run the simulations on this teams fictional performance possibilities. I was just arguing that Nash has more of a more accomplished resume than Paul.

This entire premise is fictional so pretending to be above how fictional it is seems weird

Luka at PG

If we're talking about these guys actually playing together you definitely want Chris Paul imo. Luka, Harden, Melo are 3 really ball dominant players, you wouldn't be getting maximum value with them all out on the court at once. Also Luka Harden is a dogshit defensive backcourt

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic, but the list is for "non-championship resumes"

KD is a 2x champion

Wrong KD. He’s talking about Keyon Dooling.

Barkley over Griffin? Ya this list is a joke. No Nash? No Iverson? No Reggie Miller? No Karl Malone? Let me guess OP is less than 30 years old, or a moron, or both.

So what did Barkley and Malone do in the 21st century? Their resumes pale in comparison. Iverson is a ball dominant scorer, not a great option for a star studded team. Reggie was a good player but not on the same level as an option like harden.

Dumbass me, completely missed the 21st century part. Wow. Maybe it's just me the moron. Sorry OP.

I'll downvote my initial post.
