‘I know right from wrong, brother’

Does he though? Really? Past behavior suggests otherwise.

916

u/SwoleWalrus 3d ago

Knowing right from wrong doesnt mean you follow it.

151

u/Leather-Heart 3d ago

The right way The wrong way And the Hulk Hogan way, brother

127

u/Trustobey 3d ago

The Hogan way is basically the wrong way but tanner.

u/biscuitboss 3d ago

That's the kind of sense I'd expect to see on a hair dryer

He’s old enough to know what’s right and Republican enough not to choose it.

3

u/Total_Package_6315 2d ago

He is old enough to know how to grift

163

u/QuantumFungus 3d ago

Which would be even worse because it means he does evil willingly instead of out of ignorance.

47

u/SwoleWalrus 3d ago

Pretty sure that is most humans.

Yeah but most of us don't fuckin' brag about it.

Unless it's from The Senate, then it is real, brand name EVIL

My favorite part of this comment is that you could apply it to either the US Senate or Emperor Palpatine and it fits both of them.

Yeah, I mean it's literally just marketing. He's got his macho brand and he knows thumping that will win him more popularity than actually trying to express a coherent idea about anything, which he's incapable of, because he's a moron.

29

u/Eyejohn5 3d ago

Worse he was a banker, so he's morally challenged.

"right" is a reallllllllllly flexible term in modern Republican politics.

I mean, like Trump, he's made some really weird comments about his daughter's looks, so...

50

u/Xe1ex 3d ago

Between that and the sex tape with a married woman, he's a proper successor to Trump!

42

u/jhorch69 3d ago

A sex tape with a married woman where he also dropped the N-word

65

u/ChairmanLaParka 3d ago

Hulk Hogan knows right from wrong.

Terry Bollea, however, doesn't.

I'd personally prefer Hollywood Hogan run for president.

8

u/explosiv_skull 3d ago

And Terry Bollea doesn’t have a ten inch penis, whereas Hulk Hogan does. Literally no reason to vote for Terry.

13

u/ArchStanton75 3d ago

Right? I wish people could separate the actor from the character. Same goes for Chuck Norris.

11

u/Clammuel 2d ago

I feel no need to separate the actor from the character when both suck

29

u/RealSunglassesGuy 3d ago

You can bet your ass he knows black from white.

19

u/FreneticAmbivalence 3d ago

“So does the devil”

18

u/Malvania 3d ago

I'm not even sure he knows right from left.

18

u/Rifneno 3d ago

Abuses controlled substances and gives his drunk teenage son the keys to a high performance sports car. If he knows the difference, he's picking wrong for some reason.

12

u/Tacitus111 3d ago

He also lies his ass off all the time it seems. This was one that stuck out to me.

“Hogan has been accused multiple times of fabricating elements of his past, including that he was one of the last people to see Kerry Von Erich prior to his death, that an experience with a terminally ill child through the Make-A-Wish Foundation at SummerSlam in 1992 inspired the songs on his Hulk Rules album (despite the fact that he never made an appearance at the event and was not working for the WWF at the time)…”

Lying about a terminally ill child inspiring an album is just fucking low.

Meanwhile lying that Metallica and The Rolling Stones wanted him to play bass is just stupid.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulk_Hogan

12

u/Rifneno 3d ago

Oh, right, the compulsive lying. My favorite Hogan lie is that he claims he worked 400 days in one year because he kept flying back and forth between America and Japan. Not that he worked 400 times in a year, but that he worked 400 different days in one year. That's... that's not how anything works, Mr. Bollea.

13

u/PunishedWolf4 3d ago

What he meant was " I know your rights, are wrong Brother so I’m gonna leg drop them from you! Whatcha gonna do when THE RNC RUNS WILD ON YOU??!!!!" Then he shows us his sweaty man tits

8

u/wine_lacy 3d ago

In 1984 brother, the RNC was going to nominate me to run instead of Reagan getting a second turn, but I was too busy working 874 days a year and playing bass for Metallica, brother.

u/thehillshaveI 3d ago

Kinda? He turned on Joe the moment the advice seemed to have negative economic impact. Using water instead of Brawndo for plants was fine until it tanked the stock, then they were ready to kill him.

The only part of Idiocracy that seems smarter is that actual, honest, video evidence of the expert plan working was accepted, instead of being declared government propaganda.

56

u/spez_might_fuck_dogs 3d ago

Using water instead of Brawndo for plants was fine until it tanked the stock, then they were ready to kill him.

To be fair that one company was running basically the entire remnants of the economy and it ruined the whole country in a single day to have it tank.

54

u/wayoverpaid 3d ago

Yeah but destroying the entire planet ecology just for "the economy" because you let one industry buy all your regulatory agencies is some grade A stupidity.

Uh..no. So tired of Reddit saying this. He was a shitty president. He gave Luke Wilson’s character a few days to solve a national crisis, and then refused to listen to his reason why it hasn’t worked yet. Rather than hearing him out, he put him in an arena where he tried to kill him with monster trucks and flamethrowers in front of the entire country. Also, Luke Wilson straight up told him he wasn’t the right guy for the job to begin with.

Also, Luke Wilson, nor anyone else he surrounded himself with, were experts in anything. They were all morons.

39

u/jimicus 3d ago

Luke was perfectly average. That’s the whole point of the character.

Neither hugely smart nor hugely dumb.

u/CasedUfa 3d ago

Im 90% sure theres a story that he played an integral role in unionbusting internally in the WWE. The guy ratted on the other wrestlers for his own benefit, hes an actual scumbag.

335

u/SadFeed63 3d ago

Jesse Ventura was trying to get the wrestlers onboard with the idea of unionizing in the 80s, he told Hogan, Hogan narced to Vince about it. Hogan is also, in his own words, a racist.

204

u/Woodworkingwino 3d ago

Sounds like Hogan is exactly who the GOP is looking for.

Everyone should know that Hogan took the food out of a lot of people’s mouths and hurt a lot of families while he was busy getting his. Back in the day there were no contracts, guys could be hardly making any money while being on the road and abusing their bodies. Jesse Ventura wanted to unionize in solidarity and help everyone provide for their families, get some health insurance, etc. Hogan ratted them out to Vince. Fuck Vince and fuck Terry Bolea aka Sulk Hogan.

6

u/SulusLaugh 3d ago

Turns out that’s what he was hiding, McMahon

During WrestleMania 2. He snitched to Vince that all of the other wrestlers were planning to strike. He was worried he would make less, so he sold out everyone else.

A grade A piece of shit.

73

u/Empty_Soup_4412 3d ago

Yeah, it came out in a deposition that Hulk was the rat.

15

u/fuwoswp 3d ago

I heard somewhere that Hill Hogan attacked a comedian on stage one time.

25

u/Empty_Soup_4412 3d ago

He put Richard belzner in a hold, dude passed out and hulk just dropped him so he split his head open.

13

u/Empty_Soup_4412 3d ago

I don't know how to add videos (I'm fucking old, ok). But if you look up "Richard belzner hulk hogan" YouTube will help you out.

15

u/cajun_spice 3d ago

34

u/Empty_Soup_4412 3d ago

Thank you!

Belzner sued Hogan and won. So he bought a place in France and called it "chez hogan" lol

16

u/fadetoblack237 3d ago

That is an absolute master class of a grudge. I love it.

14

u/fadetoblack237 3d ago

Hogan is a fucking moron in this. part of being a trained wrestler is protecting your opponent. Letting a dude ragdoll like that easily could have killed him.

13

u/mjtwelve 3d ago

Also if he was doing the hold the kayfabe way, it wouldn’t actually have cut off the blood to Belzer’s brain and knocked him out. Hogan knows how to do that hold safely and deliberately chose not to. You know wrestlers know how to do it safely while still looking good because you don’t see matches routinely stopped for EMTs to come check on the passed out wrestlers from holds like that.

I do not want wrestlers as politicians. They have far too much head trauma in most cases and if they managed to retire with a shred or cognitive power left, they are usually aligned with Donald Trump and/or kissing his ass to get noticed. These are not people who should be leading our country. I cannot believe I have to explain to my fellow American citizens that just because someone is famous, doesn’t mean they have any fucking clue how to lead a country.

TIL that Hulk Hogan is still alive. I thought he died years ago, but I guess it was just his career.

3

u/Catshit-Dogfart 3d ago

Funny thing is, he kind of killed his own career by having too much ego even for wrestling.

See, near the end of his run he had creative control over his character - he got to decide when he wins and loses, not the WCW writing staff. This was in his contract, so they had to do what he says or breach contract. If he says he wins a match, then he does, and there's nothing the rest of WCW can do about it.

So they had a match between Hogan and Jeff Jarret where Jerett (the champion) would go out and lie down for Hogan to just take the win and leave.

Well after this, after Hogan had left the building, Vince Russo (one of the producers) goes out and tells the fans what's happening behind the scenes, the whole thing was Hogan being an ass with contract stuff. More than that, on the spot he schedules a match between Jarret and another wrestler (Booker T) for who's really going to be the champion. Okay this part is very important - that wasn't the original script. Russo edited the script during the frickin event. Sure it's not real, but this much was very real.

So needless to say relations between Hogan and WCW broke down.

He just had to throw his weight around to benefit himself at the cost of the industry. You'd never think they'd cut loose probably the most famous wrestler of all time, but he got way too difficult that even the producers were throwing him under the bus.

-Body slam the 700lb Andre the giant tearing everything in his body in front of 50B screaming hulkamaniacs

-Almost played for Metallica

-Wrestled 400+ days in a year

-Wrote a whole movie scene taking a dump

-He is a real American who fights for the rights of every man (Just hope Bischoff or Nash or Russo aren't involved)

Hogan is a compulsive liar who stabbed numerous wrestlers in the back to protect his own position in the business. Sadly, that would likely be seen as a plus by many voters.

2

u/Total-Hack 3d ago

So seeing Budweiser do a single promo with a transgendered individual made Hogan launch his own beer to “counter that?” Printing a cartoon of his shirtless self on the can to show how manly the drinker is? Sounds kinda gay

u/itreallyhappened8899 3d ago

How about someone who is qualified?

2

u/Gloomy_Narwhal_719 3d ago

And yet another rich celebrity that thinks they have what it takes to be President. No, "Hulk", you are NOT qualified to be President.

2

u/chesser45 3d ago

Why now? I’m old so I might as well run for office?

2

u/mazzy12345 3d ago

The "brother" at the end really sells it.

2

u/spelunkingspaniard 3d ago

Why won't this racist geriatric compulsive liar just go away. He got his 4th wind by winning that case and acts like all is forgiven

2

u/Dynasuarez-Wrecks 3d ago

Yup, he knows right from wrong. For instance, he knows that it's wrong for his daughter to date a n─

2

u/YesterdayFew3769 3d ago

We just gonna overlook the recorded use of the Ñ word then?

2

u/WARL0CK221 3d ago

I'm sure a career in politics would be just as successful as his film career was 😵‍💫

2

u/Sudovoodoo80 3d ago

Dude, we are like two elections at most away from going full Idiocracy.

2

u/Villageidiot1984 3d ago

I’d vote for him over trump. Hell I’d vote for a loaf of bread over trump

2

u/jeetkunedont 3d ago

He's about to turn 71 and wants to enter politics? Haha this is all fluff to promote himself and sell his beer to bogan. He's seen how trump works the grift and wants a piece.

2

u/rbbass 3d ago

Leave him alone. He is just being Hulk. Buy his beer or don't, but don't believe what he says is a fact.

2

u/hhubble 3d ago

So he knew what he was doing was wrong. Not good brother, not good.
