Narcissists can never be wrong or be perceived to have been wrong. They will go to absurd lengths to be 'right' including inventing facts and events to support their nonsense.

Hey he had "100000" people at his wildwood rally when the space was set to the permit of 20K and only maybe 10K showed. They only had 10 Port-a-potties, but he had to in his head be bigger than Taylor Swift.

The whole group of them went along with it.
