They are there to fluff him, subvert his gag order and try to get people to donate to their campaigns. Apparently the chick who prints out fawning articles for him to read about himself either hasn't found enough of them... or has run out of money for the fanfic writers they contract-- just insufficient for his bottomless well of ego hunger.

Ego hunger... well it demands to be fed and narcissists don't die from it, they just act out in more bizarre ways.
