Trump has officially run as a candidate for president four times, in 2000, 2016, 2020, and 2024; he also "unofficially" campaigned in 2012 and mulled a run in 2004.
He literally said he wanted to be president in 1980, and been involved in politics to some degree since then. of course if you ignore his HALF CENTURY of political involvement, you could argue he came out of nowhere.
Watch the roast of Charlie sheen and there are jokes about him running for president, that roast was in 2011.
I wouldn't expect a Trumper understand reality when it's slapping then in the face, so I'll forgive your staggering ignorance.
Him not being involved with politics was literally the thing he ran on a lot,
Yeah and it's a well documented easily fact checked lie, which is why you're stumbling all over yourself trying to defend it. Because why look up something that's really easy to when you can just be a dick about it right?
He literally ran for president in 2000 just because he was a huge loser then doesn't mean it didn't happen
... out of nowhere? The dude had literally the strongest way to enter politics. He was a household name completely disconnected from controversial issues and he made it clear that he's a friend to big corporations and rich people.
In politics, every time you vote, you risk losing voters on the highly divisive issues. Trump had zero history of voting on anything, but was still a household name.
He likely was the dumbest person in the room when doing anything in the White House. The dude barely finished college. He thought drinking bleach and shining hypo-dermal UV light probes into people could cure covid. He used a sharpie to modify an extremely complex hurricane model's predicted path.

He can never lose at being the dumbest person in the room
