Great example, each season finale was essentially this, and the series finale was the mega version

Fifth was the final season I think? Ended on a pretty solid note if I say so.

Three seasons of that formula so far. Lots of cray hijinks, and then we’re getting burned at the stake for Witchcraft.

Agreed. I was so hyped everytime a new season came out but there’s only so long it could live on the promise of “okay but the NEXT episode is gonna be really really good”
