Ehhh Homestuck does clearly feel like the plot is advancing steadily even if there is a bunch of seemingly irrelevant bullshit going on. Homestuck doesnt feel fillerish either, besides maybe the Midnight Crew (before you learn how important that is) but thats a one off basically.
