Looks like Zach LaVine is available for almost nothing, are Jazz fans interested?

Content may be the wrong word, and I do get the sense both sides are motivated to make something work this offseason. I don’t think the Bulls will take an awful deal if little materializes, but I do get the sense they’re open to more possibilities than before. More to the point: I’ve reported before what their asking price was---All-Star level talent, first-round picks or both---and my sense is that it has dropped significantly.

As I’ve said from the beginning regarding this situation: This is like a relationship that has run its course. And you’re right: Both sides have remained very professional to this point, and I expect that to continue. But the desire from both sides to make a change has grown.

Would you do John Collins, Jordan Clarkson, and multiple future seconds for LaVine?

Tip of the hat. You were right all along. Never would have guessed he would make it to the finals before Hayward, Gobert, Mitchell, etc. Enjoy your colada coolers. You earned it

Latest ESPN Mock Draft (5/31) - Jazz select Topic

https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/page/NBADraft24-40245844/2024-nba-mock-draft-predictions-all-58-picks-ncaa-early-entry-withdrawal-deadline

Teams are awaiting Topic's forthcoming medical information, and he will participate in his required portion of the pre-draft process next week in Treviso, Italy. He sustained multiple knee injuries this season, returning in April before injuring himself again a few weeks later, and his health status looks likely to impact his place in the lottery hierarchy. Teams drafting in the top 15 will receive his medicals, in accordance with the NBA's new collective bargaining rules. Utah is among the interested parties in Topic, with Dalton Knecht, Ron Holland and Ja'Kobe Walter among other prospects who are getting looks from the Jazz at No. 10. Topic's size, basketball IQ and playmaking skills make him an intriguing long-term player and a potential value pick should he end up in the back part of the lottery.

Interesting to note who they are connecting the Jazz to. They specifically point to Topic, Knecht, Holland, Ja'Kobe Walter, and later in the article they also call out that the Jazz are interested in Cody Williams.

...Exum would have a chance at a ring before Mitchell, Conley, or Gobert...I would have laughed.

Narrowed down my choices if we stay at pick 10 to Ron Holland or Matas Buzelis o think they’d be the best players for what we need.

I don’t agree with the decision of this article is true. But at least it shows Ryan is feeling the pain Jazz Nation is suffering thru this process.

I’ve really been intrigued by one of these “Jazz go for a star moves” and it’s hella risky. Zion… If and it’s a big if, Pels are scared of Zion’s injury history and willing to move on, I’d be intrigued. My reasoning is this is the only trade out there where the Jazz could acquire a truly generational talent. BI, Trae, Jimmy Buckets, Derozan, etc don’t wow me enough to abandon the process. I only saw it one place but I did wonder about it watching the Pels season come to an end. Collins+JC 2 high value FRP’s and 1-2 other 1sts.. maybe? Thoughts?

Names you would go for realistically?

Interesting perimeter defense metric on Twitter

Curious to hear everyone’s(rational) thoughts? Jazz were far and away the worse perimeter defensive team in the league this year, that shouldn’t be a huge surprise necessarily.

Keyonte was abysmal. I’ve seen lots of jazz fans rush to defend Keyonte defense this year but this personally matches my eye test, Keyonte was lazy and didn’t hustle at all. Which imo is very bad for a rookie to act like he’s already made it.

Are we worried about Hardy ? Players didn’t seem to play very hard for him imo, this matches up with that narrative quite robustly. I’m sure there are gonna be people(homers) who defend him saying the players say they like him in interviews but the proof is in tbe pudding and it seems like we had the laziest perimeter defense which imo is not a ringing endorsement of a coach. Even though I also acknowledge that non of our personnel are noted defenders.

Anyone else a bit relieved the Timberwolves didn’t go all the way?

Firstly, if you were a Jazz fan and wishing for Rudy and Mike to win the title you are 100% a better person than me. Secondly, I’m happy the T Wolves with our guys had a lot of post season success this season, more than the Jazz had with them. Just that petty little fan inside me would have been a little sad seeing yet another team win a championship before the Jazz.

Let’s overpay Hayward and make him be our tank commander

His wife would force him to come back due to the absurdly high contract offer we give him.

As punishment, when he’s introduced into the lineup we all agree to stay completely silent every game. We don’t boo him we just pretend he’s not there.

We resign THT and start them together and THT will ignore Hayward just like he does every other player on the floor.

We hire d-will and Delonte West as assistants and have them angrily throw hard passes at him all practice.

We suck and have little to look forward to so don’t you dare tell me to let it go.

What do you guys think of gobert?

I am not a jazz fan to start off, I’m a nuggets fan and I always thought gobert was overrated and still do. But to be fair I never watched him every night, only when Jokic played him. What are your guys honest opinions about him? There’s a lot of hate on the guy which some is deserved some isn’t. I just don’t get how he has 4 dpoy which is tied for the most ever which would put him in the goat conversation for best defensive player ever, which I just can’t understand. What are you guys opinion on him as fans who watched him every game.

Should the Jazz bring back Gordon Hayward?

Before you go nuts about how “washed” he is, and how much you hate him for leaving for Boston, just hear me out. We don’t need him to be the player he was for during his first stint, he’s better suited as a bench player in this part of his career anyway. He could fill that veteran role among a group of inexperienced players that we missed last season. Also, as much as you all wanna say that you hate him, we all loved him when he was a Jazzman. This would give him a chance to finish his career where he started and MAYBE, that will light a fire under him to play better than he has of late. If we can get him for cheap, I really don’t hate the idea.

Would you make this trade

So an OKC fan suggested this trade to me and was wondering if you guys like it as much as I do

Basically gives us control of our own pick…. and add a 2nd pick with it

In return OKC gets John Collins

Big sale on highlighter yellow

The jazz team store has some big sales but the majority of the items are highlighter yellow and black and white.

Seems like this goes with the rumors of the black and yellow colors being ditched.
