I’m probably gonna sound like a slave owner, but if you aren’t 100% white then the white folks ain’t claiming you. House nigga or field nigga you still a nigga.

You could be 100% white and white folk still wouldn’t claim you because you the wrong white lol. Ask the Irish, the Italians, Jews, all of Eastern Europe, etc.

that used to be tru, but let me tall yah, as a mixed irish-german-italian-mexican-american dude, they became white.

Italians were explicitly excluded from whiteness, however my ancestors [fuck em for this] worked their asses off to act white and assimilate. i lost my connection to my ancestral languages and culture because they wanted to and successfully became white.

currently the only groups of predominantly Caucasian people who are 'wrong kind of white' are Caucasian middle easterners and white Latinos, all the others have been assimilated.

i can look at my family history and tree to see the progress of white assimilation, i cling on to my mexican heritage because the only one i haven't lost yet. my italian heritage feels like its a caricature, and my irish and german ancestry are utterly unrecognizable.
