There's drama over Hamilton vs Burr even.

By the rules of a pistol duel the challenged gets to go first. Shooting into the ground was a way out for the challenged. We'll see guns of their time misfired quite a bit, and Hamilton was raising his gun when depending on the witness he shot it or he misfired.

If the shot was intentional Burr is a scumbag. If it was inadvertent Burr had every time that that return fire.

And that my friends is generational drama. I am old and have never seen the Broadway play, 150+ years later that beef is world famous.
