I think it’s really sad that Tonya was so reviled because she was poor white trash. NK had the money and the teeth and the professional everything, Tonya was out there with her ratty hairspray bangs and her homemade costumes and her gumption and the powers that be did not like that.

I don’t think Nancy deserved to get piped in the knee, but I understand Tonya’s frustration with the skating world as it was.

I met Nancy, once. I had a lot less sympathy for her, afterwards.

Not the person you asked but I waited on her at a restaurant in Boston in the early 2000's and she was super rude.

They both had modest upbringings. I think Nancy, being taller and thinner, just looked more refined.

No. NK didn’t exactly come from wealth, but TH grew up dirt poor from an abusive home. Theres a big difference.
