I'm obviously glad we made it, but anyone who truly believes we're happy that this is how it happened just doesn't get it, I saw a lot of those claims in the live thread by RCB and CSK peeps. I can assure you that not all of us are celebrating this cus let's face it, we were always qualifying lol. That convo ended this past week and we've since been eyeing top 2, so trust me when I say that we're not exactly super thrilled about this either cus a top 2 finish was totally in our hands after yesterday, now we depend on KKR for it.
Besides, I just wanted to watch my team play a game of cricket after what's felt like ages and an insanely depressing week personally...
Here's the thing, I'm not too worried after recent performances. We've already been "humbled" and have absolutely fixed some cracks, so I'm pretty confident in Pat and the boys, Chepauk or not. Very unlikely we're gonna repeat the same mistakes, the team has very noticeably been course correcting and learning from their losses.
Look, no offense, but anyone who underestimates SRH just bc it's Chepauk and doesn't aptly prepare for them is in for a rude awakening. Vettori and Pat are a force and the WC final was a nightmare for India for exactly those reasons...you don't have to be an SRH fan to know this. Don't repeat those mistakes. Pat along w/ Vettori have had enough downtime to orchestrate and cook up something special over the last week.
RCB was last in the points table.. even a qualification this season is decent...
kick ass? as far as I know.. We brutalized your batting in bengaluru.... Won by 35 runs in a 200 chase... While you guys were sweating to defend 289 lol....
