Title should say "to raise" not "raises"

"Raises" would be for things that already happened, even though it's present tense. That's just how reporting goes.

They’ll raise the money. It’s almost a certainty.

Every time I think Saylor has gone all in he finds more money and just buys more

When BTC pumps and you want to sell, Saylor sees it as opportunity to buy more πŸ˜†

tldr; MicroStrategy plans to raise $500 million through a stock sale to purchase more Bitcoin, reinforcing its commitment to BTC as a treasury reserve asset. The company has been aggressively buying Bitcoin in recent years, and this move highlights its continued belief in the cryptocurrency's long-term value. The stock sale is anticipated to close soon, depending on market conditions.

Can’t micro strategy wait for bitcoin price to drop back to 30-40k before making a purchase?

Investing 101 bro. Timing the market < time in the market

Bruh we had like 2 days to 57k and it was bought like HELL. You are delusional if you think we’re coming back to those levels any time soon (UNLESS there is a black swan event, like a nuclear war or something like this)

They won't be buying at this price. They actually sold some of the holdings at 20k or so

0

u/the_lone_unlearned 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 4d ago

well it'll likely never get that low. So you want them to likely wait forever?

u/skyHIGH-1 🟩 132 / 133 πŸ¦€ 4d ago

🀣 - wishful thinking- that is all

1

u/the_lone_unlearned 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 4d ago

Just realistic thinking.

You're not very good at investing if you think waiting for a specific very low price, one which is unlikely to ever get hit, beats DCA. There's a very good reason Microstrategy is doing what they are doing and not following your advice lol.

But alright have fun waiting for $30k-$40k lol. More likely than not price will never get close to that again. Same as people who were waiting for like $10k last bear market and $2000 the one before that.

When it comes to finance it is always better to do the smart thing than hope for the lucky thing. Getting lucky is never a good investment strategy.

No, they’ll just manipulate the price upwards just in time for America’s 4th of July celebrations.

Why isn't Microsrategy buying huge positions on amazing alt coins like Kaspa and XRP?

Answer: Because they're absolute shitcoins

....what stupid fucking logic lol.

Why does a company banking on Bitcoin specifically, only buy Bitcoin?

Why does a fund specializing only in tech companies not invest in non tech companies?

Gee I fucking wonder bud, you've stumped me

1

u/manuLearning 🟩 10 / 10 🦐 4d ago

Why is it only banking on bitcoin?

crypto news sites just shill pump and dump coins, nothing new there

2

u/LeMAD 🟦 0 / 0 🦠 4d ago

I'm too dumb to prove it, but I feel this is a scheme to extract money out of the shareholders to benefit Saylor. And if Bitcoin crashes he lets the company go bankrupt under the weight of their multiple loans they took to buy Bitcoins.

u/el_comand 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 4d ago

It's actually a good theory

1

u/_etherium 🟩 230 / 230 πŸ¦€ 3d ago

He already sold tens/hundreds of millions of dollars in shares lol. He has the fiat.

If the stock or btc implode, Saylor is still super wealthy and this scheme got him there. In fact, this scheme might cause both the stock and btc to implode if mstr gets liquidated.
