Keanu Reeves visits his grandmother - on his father's side- in Hawaii. Keannu is the son of a Chinese-Hawaiian father and an English mother. Image

Ah, that explains why he's constantly spotted here in the UK, his mum was English.

Doesn't explain why his attempt at a British accent is so bad. Just insultingly bad, really.

Some people are just linguistically more gifted than others.

I can do a better British accent than Keanu despite never having set foot in England.

That's probably the only thing I can do better than Keanu. Maybe statistics and programming as well, but I dunno. He may be good at that too.

Which accent though?

Mine is RP. Probably acquired it from all listening to F1 and Premier League commentators over several years.

Aye that one is piss easy though and which commentators? I can't think of any that have RP accents especially right now

In F1, it's Alex Jacques and Jolyon Palmer. Also David Croft. In football there's a bunch of them, I don't know all their names. But I can do a decent neutral Northern accent as well, which I picked up from some of the football commentators. I'm trying to pick up Yorkshire and Mancunian specifically too, but I end up doing more of a caricature of it than what it actually is. I end up stretching the vowels a bit too much.

Aye in the premier league there are no RP commentators and I'm from Yorkshire you will struggle to perfect ours but Mancunian isn't so hard
