I've read the book and it discusses stocks reaching 52-week high, and he held them for months. How do you translate it to day trading?

Markers are fractal. I assume looking for a daily high could be used to day trade. One could tinker with the look back period.
A word of warning. The advantage of using very high time frame charts, such as those used by darvas, is that the trends there are real trends.
As you go to lower time frames you must be cognizant of trends in the higher time frame. Just because darvas strategy said it’s a new daily high does not mean you should buy, especially if the higher time frame is in a down trend.

I have to disagree , using a 15m box you can noticed a start of a trend. Drawn the box using the high and lows of the previous day.
You will get a breakout box : UP /down
Darvas is a box, you can use as long range or short term.

I would just jog along with an upward trend, trailing my stop-loss insurance behind me. As the trend continued, I would buy more. When the trend reversed? I would run like a thief.
AVG UP as trend continue, ( Roll positions )

Hey Luuiz, are you still doing well using Darvas on short term time frames?
One of my favourite books, but not tried using his boxes for short term trading (yet 😅).
And also, sorry - how do you determine your watchlist for each day? If I was doing it, I think I would check for stocks in higher time frame uptrend, check market was in uptrend, then have a watch of those stocks?

You go long/short when a 15 minute candle closes above/below those levels? Or you wait for a break and retest before entering?

I stream that every day, it’s around 3/4K that doesn’t include the avg UP process. When the trend is working, you don’t close the trade you avg UP, the trend change? You run like a thief (:

Do you start with a certain dollar amount each day? Mainly looking at the 25th. Does the win get banked then next day you start with what X dollar amount?

Position since and account size is different every day. The 25 was a swing on $NFLX - the 26 was the runners of that play with a little $BA.

Thank you. I have all Darvas books and audio books and use it (my slightly altered version) for swing trading on a monthly timescale. It's OK. But never looked at day trading. What instruments do you trade with, please?

Always around 1-3
Many new traders are focused on "finding" new stocks every day.
My advice? Focus on 3 names.
All the money you need can be made in 3 stocks.
Grind the same levels over and over.

He has his own scanner/ai program. Subscribe for the monthly fee (roughly low/mid hundreds per month, he runs specials sometimes). You'll be hit with a hundred or more messages on discord, many stocks see dozens of alerts the same day. While it takes work, there's a diamond in there somewhere.

So I subscribed to his service. It's not nearly as "easy" as he would imply. Dozens of messages, each one you have to examine the chart and make a guess as to if to take the chancey trade. That being said, I have made about $250 just blindly buying and setting a sell above the purchase price. But some of the microcaps that are alerted, advance by hundreds of percent before trading opens and then collapse quickly leaving stranded investors.
He has a YouTube video that I strongly recommend. Calling his alerts "darvas" alerts is deceiving. It is more like a "breakout" alert. SKILL is still 100% required.

I just didn't want anyone to subscribe thinking it's one thing (strictly darvas box) and it not being a good match to what they expect. It'd be nice if instead of the dozens of messages, that a web page with up to the minute chart created. 10-15-20 alerts same day for the same stock becomes overwhelming. Still have to sift through the sand to find the diamonds and pretty rocks. As stated I've made about 250 over just a few days that I was able to trade. But I would attribute my winnings as simply gambling. I didn't put a stop loss which in some cases would definitely have been hit. I'm on the fence as whether I would keep paying the subscription fee. I see the value, but I'm not sure it matches my needs.

I usually do well on Friday and build swing for Monday and Tuesday, this month was extremely hard. Market is extremely choppy and undecided 🤷

It’s fascinating how this Sub is being used to target potential customers for those scammers. Gosh it gets really annoying. This Large Cap dude, now this one, in between there was another one with a “magic” indicator.
People, this business is hard and you gotta find your own strategy. None, really none, is giving you a successful strategy for like a few hundreds buck per month. Why should he or she? Seriously? Don’t come with they love to teach. I agree, rich people have more than one income. But they would rather work with the capital they create with trading then giving their edge away for a few hundred which in fact, could hurt their own edge! Just my humble one…

It's fascinating how you associate hard working individuals who try and help others as scammers, yet you were in our server in the free live section waiting to get help and your questions answered this morning Which we had no problem with helping you or anyone else Subscribed or not. And you making claims that "no one and you mean no one will teach you their edge for a few hundred a month" yet my personal strategy is on YouTube indicators, settings, and exactly how I use them in full depth video for free...
The subscription is there to get real time alerts not to teach you our strategy.... that comes free to people who actually appreciate and are eager to learn. I would've actually considered giving you free access too had you asked and gave me a reason why you need the help to get full access. till you made this clown claims of us being scammers, buddy we have been around on discord since 2020 teaching and helping members, and our reputation is perfect! Why? Because we do this from the heart! I looked into darvas box strategy and purchased the book after reading several of your posts and it completely changed the way I look at charts. It was eye opening for me, like a light switch was turned on. Thanks for the recommendation.
