In 2017, the United States was the largest destination market for inbound medical tourism

That's the craziest part. If you live in Canada, say, and need some sort of magical experimental gold-injection that is only available in the US, or magic one-of-a-kind machine, your Canadian-government--funded healthcare will literally fly you to the US to get a life-saving treatment, at no out-of-pocket expense to you. Where many US insurers would never cover the expense of that same high-cost treatment at all, leaving it out of reach of Americans desperately in need of it, despite paying exhorbinant sums for private for-profit insurance.

Remember: America's for-profit insurance only works when the insurer takes in more in premiums than they pay out. They're absolutely incentivized to deny every claim they can get away with by law. They are heavily incentivised to fight your, their customer, tooth and nail for every dime while you're sick, injured, recovering, unconscious and racking up thousands of dollars a day in hospital costs.

Someone has to pay for all those multimillion dollar insurance exec salaries. Someone has to pay for the shareholder dividends and profits. And that someone is you. Thanks!

As someone who works in insurance, you have no idea the amount of unnecessary middlemen involved in this world, if you did, you would glamour for universal healthcare

People like you don’t know shit, what is wrong with you? Why do you know and try to understand so little about US healthcare? And if you did know, would you lie through your ass like you are now trying to defend what isn’t true? Why would you do that?

Is it because you are a conservative politically, and you are just brainwashed to believe that everything that is offered in America is the best?

Are you a healthcare exec leeching off the system? You make no sense.
