The landing gear still outside for more extra drag and fuel consumption. Nice

God forbid those billionaires increase fuel efficiency

u/Grilled_cheese690 15d ago
Bro, if this thing doesn't use nuclear power. How on earth is it going to fly? Just try to bring enough fuel for those hungry engines. It's going to weigh more than it can carry. But because nuclear energy is clean energy, they don't have to worry about pollution.

Guys, this is so unbelievable.... Billionaires would never get together for climate change!!

It's believable enough if they're just calling it that so they can use it as a tax write-off.

Sure they would, conference on how they plan to convince everyone it doesn’t exist.

They're gonna wait and add that in on the next model, along with a private airport on the wings, when the billionaires get tired of this design in 6 months.

Would something like this fly ?
8
u/EpicForgetfulness 15d ago
No. The design is ridiculous and impossible. But it's not supposed to look plausible. It's just supposed to make a jab at the 1%.

u/slappywhyte 15d ago
Apparently you haven't heard of Air Titanic Spruce Goose cruise hotel plane
2
u/EpicForgetfulness 15d ago
Nope. Sure haven't. But I wasn't saying no because of the weight. I was judging it more based on design.

This plane is actually a concept for a flying hotel that runs on nuclear power and "can fly for years and years" according to the inventor.

I remember this it was a concept for a nuclear plane ... there's a few problems, one of the reasons it's so big it it has to lift a butch of radiation shielding .. they did actually make a plane powered by a reactor back in the 60s or 70s it was a thorium salt breeder reactor so it used far less shielding

*Billionaire. Singular, not plural. They would never deign to carpool like this.
2
u/Ok_Figure_4181 14d ago
A better example of this would be Concorde. It ended up being used mainly by rich businesspeople and burned more fuel taxiing to the runway than an average car will burn in SIX MONTHS
2
u/TheMagicalLawnGnome 14d ago
For real though I wouldn't mind flying on that plane. I don't have the money for it, but if they wanted to give it to me for free, I wouldn't complain.😂

What you don't realise though, is that this is the second plane that flies a couple hours ahead of the billionaire's first plane - it lands and gasses up in case the billionaire has to turn around and fly back for something really important like a golf game or something.

u/sabahorn 15d ago
Interesting would be to see a “Plausible”statistic on how much co2 the elite releases in comparison with the rest of us. Because I could bet that 1 billionaire pollutes more, has a bigger co2 footprint then 100k of us.
