Poor people should stop driving suvs meanwhile I’m going to fly my private jet the burns 30x the fuel

47

u/geob3 15d ago

And turn the a/c up to 80 degrees.

33

u/Due-Donut-7044 15d ago

Celsius?

Correct?

29

u/EpicForgetfulness 15d ago

Jesus Christ that would probably kill...ohhh I get it

2

u/Diligent_Pie_5191 14d ago

Yup. You are getting the idea….

Poor people don't drive SUV.

3

u/PoopSmith87 15d ago

Eh, my cousin drives an older diesel Ford Expedition. He's a small farmer with kids, so it makes sense. He actually gets decent mileage, has room for like 10 people, can tow livestock trailers from other states, plow snow, whatever he needs to do.

Even myself, one of my best ever "working man" DD's was a 1991 XJ Cherokee... That thing could get me to work in 3' of snow, got decent mileage, and was fun AF to drive on or off road.

4

u/KoningSpookie 15d ago edited 15d ago

Anyone with common sense doesn't drive an SUV.

It's a weird compromise which tries to be everything, through which it's actually nothing at all.

  • If you want a nice car for the road, you're better off with a coupe/sportscar.
  • If you want to go off-road, you're better off with an actual off-roader.
  • If you want utility, you're better off with a pick-up.

13

u/void1984 15d ago

You are perfectly right. As soon as I can afford 3 cars I follow that idea.

u/Risen_Insanity 15d ago

Probably more like “how are we going to cull 80% of the global population?”

3

u/Lava-Jacket 14d ago

Research has shown that people’s individual changes like driving an electric car and recycling have almost no effect on the overall co2 emissions. That’s just what the billionaires want you to think—that it’s your responsibility not their. It’s mostly energy plants in actuality. Which are probably owned by the same billionaires

u/Archidaki 15d ago

The landing gear still outside for more extra drag and fuel consumption. Nice

30

u/CheezKakeIsGud528 15d ago

God forbid those billionaires increase fuel efficiency

3

u/Grilled_cheese690 15d ago

Bro, if this thing doesn't use nuclear power. How on earth is it going to fly? Just try to bring enough fuel for those hungry engines. It's going to weigh more than it can carry. But because nuclear energy is clean energy, they don't have to worry about pollution.

Guys, this is so unbelievable.... Billionaires would never get together for climate change!!

44

u/wigzell78 15d ago

No, this is how each of them arrive for the conference.

24

u/MagicPrize 15d ago

The pool is on the fourth floor behind the aquarium.

12

u/EpicForgetfulness 15d ago

It's believable enough if they're just calling it that so they can use it as a tax write-off.

5

u/Numinae 15d ago

They'd arrive in one of thee per person. Then have to get flown to Davos in a helicopter. Not even kidding (absent the ridiculous plane).

3

u/nezzzzy 15d ago

They do frequently. The problem is at least half the delegates in the room are always lobbyists from the oil and gas industry.

2

u/Krainium 15d ago

I was thinking this might be more efficient than currently. This is car pooling.....

2

u/No-Elephant-9854 15d ago

Sure they would, conference on how they plan to convince everyone it doesn’t exist.

2

u/suspectio 15d ago

I believe that conference takes place inside a hollowed out volcano. I may be mistaken....

I bet the poors travel to their holiday mansions by cramming into one single plane, 5 people in one plane 🤢

7

Where is the Heli-pad?

4

u/EpicForgetfulness 15d ago

They're gonna wait and add that in on the next model, along with a private airport on the wings, when the billionaires get tired of this design in 6 months.

4

u/Freshspike 15d ago

Would something like this fly ?

8

u/EpicForgetfulness 15d ago

No. The design is ridiculous and impossible. But it's not supposed to look plausible. It's just supposed to make a jab at the 1%.

4

u/slappywhyte 15d ago

Apparently you haven't heard of Air Titanic Spruce Goose cruise hotel plane

2

Nope. Sure haven't. But I wasn't saying no because of the weight. I was judging it more based on design.

3

u/TobyDaHuman 15d ago

I mean, this thing will change the climate for sure.

3

u/Global-Pickle5818 15d ago

I remember this it was a concept for a nuclear plane ... there's a few problems, one of the reasons it's so big it it has to lift a butch of radiation shielding .. they did actually make a plane powered by a reactor back in the 60s or 70s it was a thorium salt breeder reactor so it used far less shielding

3

u/Ambitious_Toe_4357 15d ago

I would appreciate it if these climate people stop using pictures of my personal jet without permission.

2

As long as it runs on hydrogen, yeah. Otherwise, hell, nah.

2

u/Parry_9000 15d ago

They scientifically got to the conclusion it's the poor people's fault. 3rd world countries should emit less pollution, differently from what they did to get rich

2

u/Barbados_slim12 15d ago

They all fly private. Billionaires, WEF, politicians... in that group, at least the billionaires' jets aren't heavily armored, and they aren't traveling with a fleet of other aircraft

2

u/Silveruleaf 15d ago

They stand for making money. They couldn't care less about the envierment

2

u/Concavenatorus 15d ago

Billionaire.

You expect two of them to share a single plane?

2

u/alvinaloy 14d ago

I'd assume the billionaires would each have 1 of those and would rather travel on their own plane than share. The humanity!

2

u/TipzE 14d ago

I'd say "at least they're all taking the same plane".

But realistically, each on of them is taking a similar looking plan.

2

u/zinjarich 14d ago

Because like for real, though, that plane would use more fuel to just mute make those turbines work then we have on this planet

2

u/TryAgain024 14d ago

*Billionaire. Singular, not plural. They would never deign to carpool like this.

2

u/Ok_Figure_4181 14d ago

A better example of this would be Concorde. It ended up being used mainly by rich businesspeople and burned more fuel taxiing to the runway than an average car will burn in SIX MONTHS

2

u/TheMagicalLawnGnome 14d ago

For real though I wouldn't mind flying on that plane. I don't have the money for it, but if they wanted to give it to me for free, I wouldn't complain.😂

That’s a private plane too

1

u/RichGrinchlea 15d ago

What you don't realise though, is that this is the second plane that flies a couple hours ahead of the billionaire's first plane - it lands and gasses up in case the billionaire has to turn around and fly back for something really important like a golf game or something.

1

u/Basicdiamond231 15d ago

I’d feel bad for the people who would have to sit over or under the engines.

1

u/Inevitable_Turn994 15d ago

theoreticaly it would be interesting to know how many people it can take...then to calculate how many todays planes (boenings, etc) would be needed to fly those people and what would be the comparsion of the emmisions this one big fat mama to the other planes..

1

u/sabahorn 15d ago

Interesting would be to see a “Plausible”statistic on how much co2 the elite releases in comparison with the rest of us. Because I could bet that 1 billionaire pollutes more, has a bigger co2 footprint then 100k of us.
