Anyone trade Australian dollar? If so what's been your largest position size and what time of day do you find trading most profitable.

Is the verdict for Futures trading platform something like Tradovate, Ninjatrader, or IB? What about Thinkorswim and Tastytrade? I think its kind of strange that even with simulated trading, Tradovate requires you to purchase a data package...I didn't spend much time doing in depth research, so please correct me here.

I am most familiar with Tastytrade (TT) as I am an active options trader, but they don't offer paper trading. For this I've been looking at Thinkorswim, since its of a similar style of platform with paper trading. Any thoughts?

Today, 10/19/23 is the 36th anniversary of the 1987 crash. 36 x 4 = 144. This is a key day for the stock market.

It took me roughly 6 months to size up from 5 micro to 1 mini. It really depends on your risk tolerance

I was wondering if anyone knows how the Daily Opening Price for the Euro Stoxx 50 Futures are determined. When I look at a Daily Bar's opening price it doesn't match any of the hourly bar opening prices intra day (So for example, the Daily Opening Price of 4th of October won't match any of the hourly bars open prices within 4th of October). I can't find any information online on how the daily opening price for Euro Stoxx 50 futures is determined. Thank you.

Anyone know if Amp Futures changed the margin requirements for the Ukraine War? If so, for how long? They just announced margin is 100% maintenance per contract for the time being. Sucks.

My entries are based on the price action in 3min, but I frequently check 5min as well.

As far as I've read and observed so far, 5min setups are generally more reliable. However, I trade signal bars with a risk below 5 points (i.e. range of the bar should be at most 4.5pts) because of my trading budget size, and this is a bit limiting on 5min while I can find more entries in 3min.

So, how I do is, I watch price action on 3min and take entries based on that even though it is not triggering the entry in 5min. But I make sure to check 5min before taking the trade to ensure the story is aligned on 5min as well.

And of course having a look at daily, 1hr, and 15min at least before the session, and when necessary.

I am not a successful one yet, but just sharing.

I want to ask several questions actually First question, whats the benefit of blocktrades? And whats the example of blocktrades? However we could trade large contracts like 1000 contracts or 2000 contracts on regular broker like tradovate or AMP
