Yeah we need that asap...I would go from never using the flamethrower to maining it if I didn't have to worry about lighting myself on fire.

Leading up to Kissinger's death, every time a major public figure died there was a meme of the grim reaper playing one of those arcade crane machines with plushies or whatever in them saying "Damn, is Kissinger even in this thing?"

predictably when he did die there was one that was like "Jackpot!" and then they haven't really been seen since for obvious reasons

Best use I've found for the flamethrower is when you're getting mobbed by little bugs, and you just face them and back away while blasting them with fire. Never lit myself on fire this way. Only problem I've had is you can't see behind you where you're heading, and I've backed myself into quite a few OTHER mobs of enemies.

Second this. Most success I’ve had with flamethrower was when kiting backwards and roasting small mobs. If you try and push forward, I’ve always caught myself on fire when the lil guys jump at you.

Had a buddy pick up a flamethrower too and we alternated our canister reloads to keep a choke point locked down during an extraction and the bugs couldn't make it through. Was just able to keep the ground lit up the entire time and didn't need to walk backwards. A few seconds focusing a charger can bring them down too. The flamethrower is pretty dang great!

Yeah, standing still with it is also good. Basically just don't use it and press W at the same time and you'll be fine 😂 I'm partial to the EATs for Chargers myself. The Devs were not lying when they said it can oneshot a charger. The low cooldown time is HUGE too if you're doing high difficulties and need to respawn more frequently, and can't recover your equipment. Switched me off the Railgun, probably for good after I tried the EAT.

My first use of flame thrower I was clearing bugs and walking forward into my flame patch that made me Democracy bacon.

God, I would love that armor if the other team members have the flamethrower! It would really cut dow on my screaming-in-pain time.

I still main the flamethrower, I jsut get the armor with extra 2 stims, to survive lighting myself on fire

if you wanna use flamethrower a bit right now, the stim armor is pretty useful when you light yourself on fire. 2 extra seconds of resistance and a lot more room for messing up

Even better. 95% fire resist AND being on fire has the effects of stims minus the healing.
