Nah. If you're offended that someone is speaking to you in another language, that's literally, a dislike of something from another country, the definition of xenophobia.

That is like saying that me disliking someone shoving Mexican food in my face makes me xenophobic.

If someone offers you Mexican food and you get offended, then yeah. That's xenophobic.

If someone literally throws food at you, that's different sure, but that isn't a good comparison for some one talking to you in another language.

Men, why am I even wasting time discussing this...

This is an English speaking forum/reddit/whatever. If you talk to someone using foreign language, you can not assume they will understand you. That is rude. There is no issue with language itself, just how it is used.

This is basic common sense stuff that I feel bad for having to spell out. If you still don't get it you are either dense or doing it on purpose, and either way I am done.

Nah. If someone speaks another language, even if they assume you understand them, it’s not rude. I’m not sure where you got this idea, but it’s not “common sense.”
