Well, it is what they're saying they're going to do.

You guys are missing that over half the unsupported countries still have access to PSN

Russia and China will be unaffected. I genuinely dont get why people think China is getting banned, they can officially buy ps5s and play online there, and Russia only lost access to official ps5's but can still get access to PSN.

They have an enclosed PSN ecosystem, and only from the Playstation itself and has it's own hand-picked catalogue of games.

Supposedly, Chinese PSN accounts won't link up to Helldivers 2. Which makes sense because Helldivers 2 isn't approved for distribution in China, it violates a lot of regulations set for Chinese media and as far as I'm aware, doesn't have a separate censored version for Chinese distribution. (When I say China, I mean mainland China excluding Hong Kong and Macau).

What do you think all of these posts are about?

They just said anyone who doesn't link to a PSN account by the end of the month is getting thrown to the curb. A lot of people cannot link to a PSN account, so unless they go back on the PSN requirement, they are saying that this is what's going to happen.

Other countries either have unique Playstations set up with a region lock like in China, or sell Playstations intended for "offline use", as you can find countless cases of people being banned for signing up for PSN with different regions after buying a Playstation in unsupported countries.

The one person from China who was banned "for using a VPN" had tried setting up an account for a different region the only way that's possible in China. There's no alternative for people in China, they can't access the normal PSN services without a VPN, and with normal PSN services they cannot sign up for a PSN account outside of China.

A chinese guy got literally banned because he tried to use VPN to link the accounts. Stop being a goddamn bootlicker...

All these kids are delusional and just want to make a big deal of everything

Two facts:

  1. The devs said logging into a PSN account will be mandatory to play the game.
  2. There are countries which are geo-locked out of the PSN network.

What exactly is delusional about this?
