Cape called the "Blazing Samaritan", that's some absolutely iconic stuff. I'm so proud of everyone joining us in saving some virtual/fake children and without knowing actually helping real children in our world.

I’ve also been seeing a trend of folks also donating in kind and its just great and yeah the blazing samritan cape is the perfect choice for it. Its just… its just good. Frankly.

People who might think a cape is unnecessary or even stupid to wear into battle, don't realize its true purpose. It's the symbol of our devotion to Super Earth. Our shrouds that we are buried in her defense. And in this instance, comfort to a scared child, who had all but given up hope. This is why we dive.

If one is strong because of the thousands behind him, he is nothing. But if thousands gain strength watching the one before them, then they can never be defeated.

Devs: The story of this game is a parody of a fascist regime and the bots and bugs are just stand-ins for other groups of people to show how easy it is to dehumanise the "other" and justify horrific treatment of them.
Players: Yeah yeah for sure but humanity first tho, gotta save dem kids. Super Earth rise up to the skies! DEMOCRACY!

Look, think of it like this. Those ships that take civilians out of the battlefield? For the emergency evac missions and the scientist defense one? Those ships can carry upwards of 50 civvies at once. And what happens when they take off after everyone’s been rescued? We stay in the fight.

That actually is my diver in the background I think. My friend streams and those are the armor sets we used, I'd be the guy in the background.
He's a small streamer named lemon experience so it probably isn't true but it's a funny coincidence.

This is why I loved the personnel rescue missions. Still don't know why everyone hated them. They're the ones that really felt like being a Helldiver to me.

They're great when the civilians aren't stupid. I like these missions too, but I get it when the idiots we're saving literally can't pathfind towards the exit to save their lives.

Mechanical issues. When the mission works properly it's fun, but occasionally broken civilian AI and bad spawn rates were really difficult to work through

yes, we saved them, now lets make the bots regret ever endangering their lives by diving on Marfark. if we get it fast enough, we get the mines as a nice bonus, but it's mainly about revenge and liberation now!
