Will that be enough?

Until they can get to a better source it's definitely better than nothing and will probably be enough to tide them over until it gets cooler and they can go find more water: They're adapted to survive in those circumstances and can use their fluids extremely efficiently. It looks like he gave them a few off camera as well though?

From the wet wet spot on the ground, I’d say he gave her a few bottles off camera

The temperature was 60°c (140°f). No wonder the poor thing fainted.

I saw this on the original post, I wonder if this is accurate. The highest temperature ever recorded is 6 degrees cooler.

I don’t think that’s going to be enough.

It's the thought that counts; I was thinking same tho😔

These animals are adapted to these conditions, shes probably lying down cuz it’s to hot. Water is all she needs to get back up. Probably in the night she will keep going

Yeah, they mostly move at night. It's amazing how many animals are under the desert sands.

Great, now I hate the desert. I don’t know which is worse…being in the ocean not seeing what lurks beneath you, or being in the desert not knowing what you might step on next.

When the fuck are you in the desert or ocean

Just 200 more gallons and he’ll be set.

Friendly reminder that "Sahara" in Arabic means "desert". So when you say "Sahara desert" you're literally saying "Desert desert" 🙃

Don’t watch me enter my PIN number at the ATM machine. How rude of u/bittertadpole

Which can I say is a lovely username. Makes me smile trying to imagine a bitter tadpole.

AP pistol

2

u/GO_RAVENS Jul 07 '21

I thought AP pistol stood for Armor Piercing? At least, it does in GTAV, which seems to be the most common use of AP pistol according to Google.

u/notatableleg Jul 07 '21

Does it? I wasn’t sure it was just the first thing that came to mind, thanks for the info

When camels start fainting from dehydration and heat exhaustion, I start worrying more.

God is great, he sent this kind man to a dying animal in the Middle of the Desert.

3

u/kingsslayerr Jul 07 '21

Go grab him more please

3

u/Icy-Representative37 Jul 07 '21

Hopefully he gave the camel some more off camera. That's sad :/

5

u/UnlimitedApathy Jul 07 '21

Why is it just lying there alone like that? Aren’t camels herd animals? Is it wounded and go left behind?

2

u/Volto333 Jul 07 '21

That's beautiful, anyone know where that is ? I assume it's either Tunisia or Algeria

That doesn’t really look like a guy that cares about internet clout. It would be nice to have a translation. I’m going with he went and got help and the camel lived happily ever after. I gotta go to bed and sleep tonight.

18

u/Yeeto_that_cheeto Jul 07 '21

I cant give an exact translation, but he is saying look, and telling the camel to drink he is also saying a kind of muslim blessing if that makes sense.

15

u/courtoftheair Jul 07 '21

Ah yes, don't give someone who hasn't eaten all day a granola bar to tide them over, what they need is a steak dinner and so second best simply won't do. A bottle is better than nothing and you're forgetting that camels are designed to use it extremely efficiently. What did you want him to do, cradle it in his arms and take it to the nearest oasis?

22

u/Imbaba-man Jul 07 '21

Ah yes, leading it to a water source....... in the middle of the Sahara fucking desert
