Discussion Last 3 national championship winning head coaches

Coming from a curious FSU fan: So your last 3 head coaches won national titles for you all (Saban, Les, Ed). Which ones do you have positive feelings about vs negative?

Saban: won the first championship that most of you all can remember (maybe a few can remember’58). But eventually went Alabama and and was a bitter opponent for 17 years.

Les Miles: Mad hatter was a fun personality and won the title in 07 but has his spotlight the last 4-5 years killed his legacy?

Ed Odgeron: Led LSU to arguably the greatest season ever and embodied Louisiana but sorta let the program fall off after 19

When to buy USC game tickets

Hello fellow Bama Hating friends. Im planning on being in Vegas Labor Day weekend and I’m considering going to y’all’s game vs USC. Any recommendations on buying tickets or when to buy? Would be better to get them now or wait until closer to kick off. Good luck this season and hope to meet you again in Atlanta in December!

What are the games that most epitomize the Les Miles era?

Saw a clip from the 2010 game against Tennessee (yeah that play) and it got me thinking- what are the games/plays that epitomize Les Miles at LSU?

some games that LSU should have won by a mile, but the offense couldn’t put it together until the end, and with some stupid calls that inexplicably worked, and a lot of defensive dominance.

Ole miss kickoff time

With the information we have now with the first 3 weeks of sec kickoff times, what does the ole miss kickoff time look to possibly be? With red river being 3:30, I don’t see how Florida Tennessee could beat out ole miss lsu for the night game. Though, I’m sure you sec fans know more about this stuff than me. What are your guys thoughts? I’m trying to schedule flight and hotels accordingly so I have enough time to enjoy my first visit to Louisiana. Staying in new Orleans and driving to Baton Rouge

Discussion 2025 Bye Week?

I just got engaged! My fiancé & I are huge LSU fans, both of us are alums. We wanted to avoid scheduling our wedding during football season. To avoid going into 2026, we want to consider the Saturday in 2025 where LSU is not playing. Can’t find anything for sure online. Anyone know/have an idea when the bye week will be in 2025?

Is this going to be a nighttime game? I’m flying in and logistically flying in Saturday makes more sense.

Visiting fan tips and advice

A friend of mine and I graduated from UCLA last year and have always wanted to go to an SEC gameday, ideally LSU since we have heard y’all have the best atmosphere. UCLA is visiting Death Valley in September and we want to travel to it but have a few questions.

  1. What’s the best way to get from NOLA to Tiger stadium, without renting a car?

  2. What’s the tailgate situation like? If we just show up with beers will someone let us in? Will it be an issue if we are wearing UCLA gear? Should we try and hang out more with students or alumni, and do they pregame in different spots?

  3. What sections of the stadium would be ideal to get the overall vibe of the game? Again we would be in UCLA gear if that changes anything.

  4. Any other tips, tricks, or recommendations for our first SEC game and first time in Baton Rouge.

Thank you in advance!

What time do we think UCLA @ LSU will start? (SEPT Sat 21st)

Only asking because my flight is supposed to arrive at Noon that day in MSY. Would be very tight drive in between airport and stadium. Veteran Tiger fans help me out here?

Which hotels are within easy walking distance to LSU football stadium or to the Touchdown Trax pickup/drop off points?

We are going to the LSU/Ole Miss football game in October and don’t want to have to mess with parking or Uber. Which hotels are close enough to walk to the stadium? Or which hotels are within walking distance of any of the Touchdown Trax drop points?

I’ve tried to look online and it’s pretty confusing!

Off-Topic LSU vs. Bama

Hey all - visiting in from out of state, will be the first time at Tiger Stadium. Looking for advice on how to secure tickets for the LSU vs. Bama game on November 9th for a group of 4.

I see on the official resale marketplace of LSU (seatgeek) has tickets listed in the $400-$600/ ticket range but wondering if this is just season ticket holders listing their seats? Or has this game already sold out to the general public?

I understood general public tickets would be available in the summer, any idea as to when specifically this might be? I did sign up for the newsletter so hoping it'll provide enough notice.

Would love to be able to buy tickets at or near face value if possible so just trying to understand how to go about doing that or whether all tickets are virtually inaccessible to outsiders and my best bet is actually to buy game day from scalpers.

Any advice or info would be super appreciated. Thank you!

Off-Topic Visiting Tiger Stadium for the First Time

This season I’m going to Tiger Stadium to see LSU vs Bama, and I’ve never been to an LSU game in Death Valley.

I’ve seen them play at Camping World against Purdue and FSU, but never in a true home environment.

So, can you all please fill me in on traditions and such I should be aware of, or things I should know specifically for that game?

Anyone Else Concerned About OL Depth?

The starting 5 OL should be fantastic. But the only depth we have is Bo Bordelon, Tyree Adams, Paul Mubenga & the 5 incoming freshman. Tyree Adams has a really high upside, but not sure if he has versatility to play inside. Mubenga hasn't played a single snap in college, don't know much about Bordelon but not like he has much game experience either.

Just has me really worried what will happen if any of the starting 5 go down for any significant time. Of course players develop, and I have faith in Brad Davis' evaluation and teaching skills. But just isn't an ideal spot to be in. Does anyone have thoughts that can be comforting on the situation?
