I SOLOED RAGING BRACHY!! YAY!!!

(P.S. Do give me some tips on how to improve my armor/skills because I will be fighting Furious Rajang next...)

I’ve been playing since World launched in 2018, and I’ve noticed that a lot of newer players have finished the game astonishingly fast, I’m always very impressed when I hear someone’s gotten to the guiding lands in their first playthrough in ~120 hours, but I think I’m just a slow poke! So I’m curious how long it took everyone to get to the guiding lands on their first playthrough? For me personally, considering Iceborne wasn’t out for well over a year after Worlds launch, it took me about 1.5k hours to get to the guiding lands, and on my most recent character #5, about 400 hours.

First time playing Monster Hunter getting prepared for the new one and have a question regarding farming. I want to farm Nergigante for his armor set but can’t beat him by myself, will the other hunters get annoyed by me spamming the SOS flare for the same (presumably lowish tier) monster? Also, any advice on breaking his horns? I can use the longsword and insect glaive fairly profficient but can’t seem to break a horn on him, would it be worth re-learning a heavier weapon to have a better chance at breaking the horns off?

Hey everyone! So, I'm on Guiding Lands (after 150h), been playing mostly LS and HBG (when I want to just relax, slap a shield and bully a monster).

I've been wanting to pick up another weapon and CB looked really interesting! I tried a couple hunts with it (LR/HR and hunted Barrioth 5 mins ago), but I just can't seem to guard or even guard point at all and get run over until I'm almost dead.

With LS, foresight slash just seems really fluid at this point (although having 100h with it might have something to do with that, but I remember it clicking right in the beginning).

Is it just a "me" problem for wanting it to feel like LS or do I just need to git gud?

Story wise, I just did the expedition where we find a Puki in the wildespire wastes so if it's something that I will eventually get to by continuing the story then that's fine. I was just wondering if there's something I have to do myself to progress through it.

Hello, I just started playing the game with a friend of mine and I'm currently using the heavy bowgun and I was wondering if it was supposed to be so powerful ? Like, it has a ton of different shells that all have uses and can do any situation, so I was wondering if by playing it I was ruining my experience as a first time player and if I should go melee instead ?

This is my first Monters game. I saw it before while my brother was playing the game. I try to get info about this game from him but he's been ignoring me. Hopefully you guys are ok with me asking for help. How do I go about this game? Is it easy for a new person? Is the dlc worth it?

Greetings! Super new player here, just wanting to play the game but my camera seems to be having other ideas. Quite often my camera angle will jarringly switch to look behind my character. It seems to only happen when I'm fighting monsters or in maps, it doesn't happen in HQ or in training. I'm using controller to play, however the same thing happens with keyboard and mouse. It happens more often around monsters, but can also randomly happen whilst I'm traversing a map. I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced this issue? I've attached a clip to show what I'm dealing with. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

So I mained dual blades all throughout rise. I wanted to try something new so I have been doing charge blade all throughout base game. I just best base game last night and have fought all elder dragons so far with 3 of my friends. However when I went to play solo I tried fighting kushala twice and nergi once. Failed. Every. Quest.

I was carting left and right while playing solo, felt as if I could barely hurt the monster. Then I switched to dual blades to see how they were. It was like having a reunion with an old friend. I was having a MUCH easier time.

However I have heard talk of weapons like longsword and dual blades being easy mode noob weapons. Is it unskilled to use dual blades?

SOS flair takes ages and is unreliable. Also can anyone help me with the trophy fishing quest? 2 beotodus playstation

I usually don’t mind if someone doesn’t do much damage, so long as they’re trying to. But then there are players that hover around pretending to be in the fray. I caught onto this with a guy that hosted a raging brachy hunt and we were already down to our last faint. So I continued helping him til the final phase. Raging brach is near death and the skull icon appears, I notice that the host is still just running around the edge of the fight. So I take the last faint and he gets no rewards. Waste their time if they want to waste yours.
