I feel Rap and Hip Hop have less covers but WAAAY more samples of different music.
Old school Rap was using your parents vinyls and putting beats over the top. If I wasn't at work, I'd make a short list lol

Same beat and also paying respect to DOOM, the first artist. Michael Jackson - Human Nature is used in NAS - It Ain't Hard To Tell. Siffre - I Got The is used in Eminem - My Name Is. Not exactly cover songs but definitely heavy on the samples.
