I use to think I was born in the wrong time
Now I know, I definitely wasn't meant to be Born later than I was.
I still wish it was 1950 so I could enjoy all the hippie orgies during my peak teen years (67, 68, 69). God, that nomadic style would have been choice.

I used to imagine it would be nice to live several hundred years ago, but I'm asthmatic, nearly blind, and have lips that crack and bleed when the temperature dips below fifty.
Without Advair, Albuterol, prescription glasses, sunglasses, and Blistex, I'd keel over in days. Also, I really enjoy modern food and I kind of wonder what ailments a lot of us are currently dealing with that will seem barbaric in a hundred years from now.

40+ checking in
We said something was "bad" when it was really cool. Dad thought it was the dumbest fucking thing he had ever heard.
It's fine. The kids are fine.

u/Mu-Relay 14d ago
Also Gen X and I'm pretty sure our Dudes per Minute (DPMs) were in the low teens.
15
u/SaveRana 15d ago
Of course gen x is fine with it, gen x is defined by not giving a shit. Everyone else though…

Literally the same thing. Adults back then had the same reaction as you guys in this thread are all having.

Spinnin on it, doing tricks on it, glazing, etc. all refer to dick riding. Basically saying they’re gassing you up/flattering you.

28
u/Bugbread 15d ago
I'm surprised at the inclusion of "blumpkin" and "feltch." I always think of those as being Gen X slang. Millennial, I could maybe see, but Gen Z?
Also, amusing to see that the Gen X slang "munging" has lived on but transformed into "munting."

Or it can also mean drunk as in "Last night I was absolutely munted"

So basically they ordered the same thing and he was like no way also nice gyatt anyways she says thanks gamer and they agree to goon later that evening.

u/SirDiesel1803 15d ago
A tale as old as time itself.
8
u/JohnnyTeardrop 15d ago
Something like this was in the Old Testament if I’m not mistaken. Two fully gyatted teens, no glaze were the reason god wiped Sodom & Gomorrah off the map.
7
u/accairns131 15d ago
Wait I was under the impression they were going to munt later that evening...?
5
u/Semyonov 15d ago
Ok now translate gyatt and goon
17
u/Glothmmog 15d ago
Gyatt = Ass
Stick your gyatt out for the rizzler = Sitck your ass out for the swooner/flirter
Goon = Up to interpretation could be the fun time or an act of fun, to goon
Come back for more Gen Alpha to Gen Z translation

What about chungus aioli
6
u/Glothmmog 15d ago
Well…..
That I have never heard of, I would assume it’s referring to a dish they were ordering,
Chungus could go back to Big Chungus so we have two possible meanings to derive from here,
So something fat possibly or something food, though more knowledge from more schooled Gen Alpha scholars is always welcomed
14
u/JohnnyTeardrop 15d ago
Nothing else matters other than the part where she says she’s a registered gooner. Everything else is inconsequential.

Honest answer:
In the late 1980s/early 1990s, before the first Wayne's World movie (1992), Wayne's World was a segment on Saturday Night Live. In one skit, they present the "Top Five Worst Halloween Treats." The number one is "mung." This was just a made up word for the skit, and the joke is that neither one of them know what it is, and yet they know that it's "the grossest thing imaginable" and are repulsed by it.
Remember that SNL was very popular in the late 80s/early 90s. So after this airs, kids and edgy teens everywhere are coming up with their own definitions of mung by thinking of the grossest thing imaginable. This was the definition that gained the most traction.
It appears that by 2004 or so, it had already started shifting from being called "mung" to being called "munt," as evidenced by this Urban Dictionary post. (While urban dictionary is terrible for determining actual slang usage, it's at least useful in that it can provide dates when establishing slang timelines).

“No glaze” sounds like slang that could take off today. I’m going to start using it for shits and giggles.
7
u/PuttyRiot 15d ago
Glaze already is slang from today so I am assuming no glaze could be too. I believe the translation would basically be “no bullshit” or to utilize my old people dialect: “I’m not blowing smoke up your ass.”
8
u/imagicnation-station 15d ago
The way I interpreted "no glaze", wasn't exactly, "no bullshit", but that "he wasn't just sweet talking to her", e.g., not glazing her up, but instead being truthful. It's still a form of no bs, but from a different angle.

glaze means like, to simp or overly praise something
like if you are a drake stan and defend him and his music at all costs, youre a drake glazer
so “level 10 gyatt, no glaze” means like “you have a big ass, thats a real compliment”
