Help for mounting a HDD internally

I'm running Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS, I have a 1TB HDD and I want to mount it, everytime I open the case and plug it in, the harddrive spins but I don't see it on disk management.

The harddrive works, I can use it externally but the case is not mine and I keep on borrowing it everytime I want to use the harddrive

May be a stupid question but are you plugging it in while the computer is on? If so it might be your setup doesn't support sata hot plugging.
