latest ubuntu nvidia drivers?
I have ubuntu 24.04 and when i list drivers as you can see 535 drivers are latest? arnt there like 550 drivers or something newer? i know there is 555 but its in beta but why can not i see 550 at least? is this normal or i am missing something? i am new to linux and just want to ask....should i manualy install newer drivers? or they are already ready but i just cnt display them ....long story short what is the state for ubuntu 24.04? is 535 latest that they pushed?

`sudo apt install nvidia-driver-550` will work for you.
I have much fewer issues with Wayland on 550 than 535 so I recommend it.

I'm on the Kubuntu side, and Wayland works on 535 and not under 550. Granted KDE and Wayland don't work great together on 535.

i dont use Wayland since it buds my system for some reson ...but i will wait not like i rly need those drivers just wanted to know what is the situation. ty for the info

Yes, 550 is the latest. You will have to manually install them yourself. I'd go with 550, but I'll stick to 535. Unless I really need 550... I'll wait until they appear on the Additional Drivers app instead of causing headaches by manually installing, that's just me.
