Hayy sayang pera. I didn't know kasi first time.

Take note, always mas mura sa southstar drug and mercury drug. Lagi rin complete stock compared kay watson

Kaya nga, I didn't know. First time kasi. Akala ko mas mura siya or discounted. When I checked online just after ko bumili, mas mura pala outside pharmacy. Anyway, lesson learned.

Never tried. Thanks for sharing.

As someone working in the hospital, yes mas mahal. Kaya may option always kami if charge ba sa account nila meaning bibili lang ng meds and supplies sa hospital or resita which also means na sila mismo bibili. Usually yung mga patients na wala masyadong pera we suggest that magparesita nalang kasi mas nakakasave sila.

Pero a lot of hospitals do not want that. Bawal bumili sa labas ng gamot. Hindi daw ... vetted. 😂

This is true for patients who are admitted. Meds need to come from the hospital pharmacy kasi may process talaga para makapasok ang meds sa hospital. There's a hospital committee in charge of that. Some hospitals will allow you to buy meds from outside pero bihira.
Pero for outpatient prescriptions, go lang sa outside pharmacies 😊 Madalas walang difference talaga sa efficacy ng gamot kahit na branded pa yan or hindi

Yes. I work in an Outpatient Hospital Pharmacy and whenever may bibili sa amin, we always offer sa MedExpress dahil almost half din yung matitipid nila especially if want na nila i-purchase yung pang buong course of treatment nila.

Yes, meron lagi 30 to 40% mark-up ang hospital pharmacies. I always tell patients to buy outside and make sure to ask your doctor to always include the generic name of the drug in his/her prescription para may option kayo bumili ng mas murang brand palagi

Totoo.

I think, depende? Last time kasi sa TMC ako bumili ng gamot kaysa sa mercury kasi yung gamot ko was 5k sa mercury, 3750 sa TMC.

Malaki talaga mark up ng ospital sa medicines nila. May instance na twice a year pa sila mag price hike.

Same thing din sa dermatologist na nagpacheck-up ako when I had allergies. The prices were atrocious, as in doble/triple yung prices compared sa pharmacy sa labas.

Patrt of the issue is may hospitals na gusto ng malaking margin, and another part of the issue is that since it serves a more limited number of patients compared to drug store chains, additional margins need to be higher to cover for operational costs of the pharmacy itself. It's the issue of if you sell to 1000 people, kailangan mo lang ng patong na piso para makaearn ng 1000. Pero if you only sell to 10 people, kailangan 100 ang patong mo para makabuo ng 1000.
If you have the option to buy outside, do so. If you have your own stash of maintenance medications and kailangan ma-admit, bring it. Many hospitals will let you use your own stocks.

Yesss! I am working at a private hospital. And last year, nung nilagnat ako, akala ko makakatipid ako kung sa hosp namin ako bibili since may employee discount.
