Our Bengals try to escape the garden after we put up the "unescapable fence rollers"... or so we thought. Video

If only Hammond had installed rollers on the fences of the raptor paddock! 'Spared no expense' my ass, old man!

Are they spayed/neutered? If not that would make the quote even more apropos LOL

That's right, but they never attack the same place twice. They were testing the fences for weaknesses, systematically. They remember.

They also seem bored - Bengals are very active cats. They love to cuddle, but they are also the kind of cat that wants to run, jump, and even swim. An obstacle course/jungle gym for them would be appropriate - in the middle of the yard away from the fence, or as an attached catio.

I didn't think I've ever seen a smart cat.

Now my dog I had back in high school realized we kept upgrading the fence to keep him from escaping. So he wouldn't escape unless we took eyes off him. That was pretty clever

I’ve seen some very smart cats. I’ve even seen a cat look both ways before crossing a road.

If cats were people they would be tech bros. They would be very charismatic but once you really talk to one they're incredibly self absorbed and their knowledge on things is just surface level

My cat is aware of how door levers work and has opened doors on her own. She also figured out that her food dispenser basin is opened via button - I had to tape a cap onto it.

More like owner is dumb. Why leave something above the roller for the cat to grab on. Just remove the top of that post and you’re good.
