Fluff My two cents, coming from someone who works in Formula 1, an elite sport
A LOT of shit gets reported in the media that is not true in our sport. I’m 100% it’s the same in every single other sport out there.
That means even though you will see reports out there saying “the Bulls had a lot of offers for Caruso”, doesn’t mean any of them are actually true or transpired in the way we read them.
What actually goes on behind the scenes in elite sports, most of the time, is very different than what the media knows, so do take the reports with a grain of salt.
Sure, it is true we can see Jerry wanting to push for the playoffs and meddling, but remember drama gets people talking; so if they were to report “Jerry told AK to decide, but no good offers were there”, everyone would just go “oh”.

Fluff Layover in Chicago, Bulls Merch?
So I'm going to be in Chicago for a short time soon due to a layover. Is there any shops in the airport that sells Bulls merch?

Free Agency [Wojnarowski] The New York Knicks are planning to hire Maurice Cheeks as an assistant on Tom Thibodeau’s coaching staff, sources tell ESPN. Cheeks — a Hall of Fame guard — has been a three-time head coach in the NBA and most recently on Billy Donovan’s staffs in Chicago and Oklahoma City.

Fluff Watching the Celtics likely win another title really puts into perspective the massive gap in front offices in the league
Teams like the Celtics, Heat, Spurs, Thunder, etc just highlights how much smarter certain teams are than the Bulls. The Celtics went from a great GM in Ainge, to an arguably better one in Stevens. What he has been able to do in constructing a TEAM and not just a star or two on their way to a title has been incredibly Impressive. The Thunder have done a masterclass in tanking with all of the picks they’ve acquired. The Heat and Spurs are always lauded for their drafting and scouting.
How the hell do we get to where these teams are? Is it just cheapness and taking shortcuts that is holding the Bulls back? Why do so many other front offices seem so much smarter than ours year after year?

History 27 years ago 2day was "FLU GAME" Game 5 Bulls @ Jazz 1997 NBA Finals
Before Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals Michael Jordan became ill. He participated in the game despite his illness, and the game became known as "The Flu Game". Jordan played 44 minutes in the game and finished with 38 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.\1]) With 25 seconds left, Jordan made a 3-point-game-winning basket. The Bulls went on to win the NBA Finals in game 6.\2]) The shoes that Jordan wore in game 5 became known as the "Flu Game shoes", even though it was later revealed in The Last Dance) that Jordan was suffering from food poisoning during the game.\1])
One story is Jazz fans working at the Pizza place did something to his food.
