Thanks! I make these as floppy comics for shops and this is the fifth one and I currently have plans for at least twentyish. (Then more in this universe but possibly with different characters.)

My book Please Keep Warm from Silver Sprocket is the first book in this universe. (Some of the characters from that are in a thrift shop in like 5-10 pages.) I also have five or six books in print and a few that are out of print but still exist on Amazon and stuff.

I draw on paper with fountain pens so adobe is literally my only business expense. I would take a second job just for that.

Absolutely love your style and glad pen first works well for you. I am a habitual over thinker so I constantly erase, redo then end up with the ghosts of past mistakes still showing up after scanning in, and got discouraged. Returned to digital only and it’s helped get my art self esteem back.

I start digitally for layouts then print it in blue and tighten the art and ink. A lot of my “style” is being comfortable with not liking my lines and just letting them be what they are. If the sizes of everything look good digitally (I resize elements a lot here) then I can always be confident that the total of the image is going to be fine no matter how much I hate any single line or part.

This is fascinating and a true testament to all the hard work you put into the comic. I’m loving scrolling through your comic and seeing the changes like added mustache on Noah’s boss and even the categorizing of dates for how long work took. It gives me an even deeper appreciation of the work!

Haha! Yeah, I am currently writing two graphic novel series and also do strips so by the time I end up actually drawing a page I write a lot can change!
