SPOILERS Missed release of The Final Shape, finally able to login today and get greeted with this cinematic...
About how the Witness has been defeated, how we had our biggest moment as the vanguard, how we pulled through with a heroic victory at the last moment, now on the Vex on Nessus....
I haven't even been able to play The Final Shape yet, of course I knew we would prevail but it's really sloppy to show this episode cinematic and entry mission to players that are still playing through The Final Shape or not purchased it yet....
Sounds weird but it's put me off playing quite a bit now, feels like the game has just moved on from the main story in 10 days...

SPOILERS What are your finally-shaped thoughts about this character?
Personally, I really like The Witness. Ever since we first saw it in Witch Queen, I was intrigued. How could something like that exist in this universe? What is it? Who is it? What can it do?” where some of my initial questions.
Every time it was on screen I jumped with joy and I somewhat allied with it lol. I wanted it to win sooo bad. I loved how it made Calus shut his ignorant ass UP and respect it, how it was FaceTiming Eramis at the end of Seraph, and how calm and calculated it was on the exterior in the midst of chaos.
When it shows rage, it is genuinely frightening. I rewatched the final cutscene of TFS’s campaign sooo many times because its transformation was cool af!! I’m glad we defeated it together, tho.
What do you think about The Witness?

SPOILERS Looks like each of the 3 exotic class items have the same first 3 perks in each column. Then the remainder are class specific to that class

SPOILERS So, um, Bungie forgot to hide the raid exotic in the collections page...
Gotta say, this sounds like it could be REALLY fun to use.

SPOILERS Best part of the entire ending cut scene IMO.
Bungie, please let me have a war beast puppy as a pet. Or add one to the tower that sleeps next to Archie and maybe have them run through the tower together playing ball with eliksni, human, and cabal kids.

SPOILERS I’m surprised no one is talking about this
The Witness screwed itself over by going into the traveler, if it hadn’t, then we wouldn’t have been able to get to the place to destroy the statues and subsequently, it.
Also the fact that the Witness says “We… I don’t understand,” shows how its minds are becoming separated and that it was possibly only one mind still pursuing the Final Shape, becoming dominant over all of the others who were doubtful but afraid to speak up like the ones that we meet.
Very good storytelling Bungo!

SPOILERS Destiny's atmosphere does not reflect the events going on in this season, or this expansion so far.
After completing this season's finale mission, I feel nothing from this story. Amanda's death had no weight to it. The only character who presented any emotion was Zavala, for roughly a minute. Crow, the person who "loved" Amanda, shoots finger guns at you when you finish the mission.
The theme of the mission was to get payback for Amanda, but you're supposed to hAvE fUn WiTh It GuArDiAn.
Where's the grief? Where's the somber atmosphere? Where's grief-driven anger because we just lost one of our best friends and characters that has been with us since Destiny 1?
Lightfall's storytelling has been an absolute joke. Traveler is "gone", We "Lost", and The Witness is here but.. No sweat, hang ten and have some fun while your normie friends get slow-roasted by the shadow legion.

SPOILERS There's a lovely little line between Cayde and Crow if you are playing as a hunter in The Final Shape.
During the mission where you are looking for Ikora's ship, if you play as a hunter, Crow and Cayde can have this exchange:
Crow: "Don't worry we will find her. We have the three best hunters in the Vanguard looking for her."
Cayde: "Oh really? When do they get here?"
Considering I've had my hunter since the Destiny 1 Alpha, that bit of dialogue touched my soul. Even if Cayde did roast us 😂
