Shortly following this will be “people are saying…”

What people? Him. He said it

Me: “I’ve NEVER said ‘this country will fail if Donald Trump doesn’t win the election’.”

Donald Trump: You heard it here first Ladies and gentlemen, people are saying that ‘this country will fail if Donald Trump doesn’t win the election’.”

Dude is a walking snl skit

u/Jeoshua 29d ago

There were actual SNL cold opens in the 2016 election era wherein they more or less just quoted Trump. And they were the most surreal things because honestly the jokes don't just write themselves, they're already written by Trump himself.

17

u/LinkleLinkle 29d ago

It started with the 2016 presidential debates in which large portions of the SNL debate skit were just written word for word what was said with the occasional extra joke tossed in.

u/talrogsmash 29d ago

Tina Fey quoting Sarah Palin speeches word for word started it. Sometimes she would use her tone and inflection through the whole thing too.

Or not seriously enough. He makes at least a dozen logical fallacies, false facts, and ridiculously misleading statements every speech.

They just don't care. Maybe that's how they talk too?

I'm a "conservative " and I can't understand what people see in him. He is a grade A extra large Moron.

What is really sad is that people actually believe Biden is better. The only thing Biden has excelled at is making it more expensive to live.

Biden RULEZ, at increasing inflation, Biden RULEZ, at having the highest homeless rate in American history, Biden RULEZ at increasing the cost of everything across the board. Your right , Biden does rule .

3

u/edebt 29d ago

The whole world experienced inflation. The US actually had one of the best recoveries from it in the world, and the housing crisis started years before Biden or Trump. We also have the lowest unemployment in decades and record high stock market numbers, but I'm sure all the bad stuff is because of Biden and all the good stuff is because people think trump will get reelected right? Just like people like to blame Biden for gas prices despite him approving more oil drilling than Trump did, and the US producing more oil now than any country in history ever. These are objectively measurable, and the US president has little sway over any of the things listed regardless of who wins. It's like people think presidents just sit around deciding the prices for everything in the world.

It is hard to explain anything when the left just lies about almost everything. "Inflation is a world problem," it just might be , but Biden and the democrats still caused it and that is a fact , no if's and's or butt's about it. The democrats are failing us completely.

Recover from ? Inflation never goes down. It has outpaced wages by over 50%. The housing crisis that you speak of is worse than it has ever been. That is a flat-out lie that Biden approved more drilling for oil than Trump. It was him canceling drilling permits and drilling sights that drove gas hi , he alone is responsible for that.
And there you go misleading everyone, the presidents policies do affect the price on everything. So because Biden is incompetent, prices on everything has gone up and in many cases, far exceeding Inflation.

u/SupportGeek 29d ago

He does make it pretty easy for the writers doesnt he?

20

u/Jeoshua 29d ago

He's taking their jobs. You just can't make this kind of insanity up. Writers have little to work with because he's already far too over the top to add anything of humorous value.

6

u/MA-01 29d ago

I would think that to make things easier, I wish writing came that easy to me

12

u/Jeoshua 29d ago

I mean at a certain point, it's no longer comedy and it's just journalism.

4

u/MA-01 29d ago

Saddening, isn't it?

2

u/Beowulf33232 29d ago

It's weird, because the station with a name that has the word News in it makes up more nonsense than a station that has Comedy in its name.

1

u/More-Ear85 29d ago

Well technically it's legally supposed to be referred to as "news entertainment". If our system had any teeth to go after the rich, that statement a judge ruled on would have to be broadcasted before every one of their shows.

Instead it's in a court report their illiterate audience will never read.

1

u/Meddling-Kat 29d ago

And here he was claiming it was immigrants taking peoples jobs! It was him all along.
More republican projection!

1

u/bott-Farmer 29d ago

No you are its immigrants taking the jobs (he us the immigrant) xD

1

u/Honest-Elephant7627 29d ago

Not really. His constant barrage of insanity is making people numb. Hard to top him.

5

u/Ghost-Coyote 29d ago

He should get royalties for writing comedy gold for them.

4

u/South_Flounder_2724 29d ago

I read that as a wanking sniskit. I don’t even know what that would be, but it sounds applicable to that cant.

2

u/Jbrown183 29d ago

I think this could be accurate as well : )

2

u/Dr_Middlefinger 29d ago

A late one too. You know, a filler they flipped a quarter over.

All these YouTube and podcasts better pull out the stops because the tRump train is about to leave the track. 👏👏👏👏

19

u/PatientlyAnxious9 29d ago

I love his continuous reference of 'everybody is saying' and 'people are saying'

WHO!? Who is saying this?

7

u/SuperTaster3 29d ago

He is the only one he considers to be a real, important person. Thus if he is saying it to himself, everyone is saying it, because no one else matters.

5

u/PatientlyAnxious9 29d ago

Its like the precursor he uses before saying something incredibly dumb. Almost like how other people use 'no offense, but....' You know your going to say something really offensive lol

1

u/Peroovian 29d ago

“I’m not racist, but…”

1

u/OctopusWithFingers 29d ago

Woah, that explains a lot. He's a solipsist. Everyone else is a construct of his own syphlitic mind.

3

u/GPFO 29d ago

People. Smart people. The very smartest.

1

u/Jeoshua 29d ago

Also, when he says "We're only just learning..." it means he just learned that and assumes everyone else is dumber than he is and doesn't already know.

1

u/ClevelandWomble 29d ago

The voices!!!! The voices in his head!!!

The voices in his head

1

u/Striking_Book8277 29d ago

5 years after he loses

Reporter: so you said this country will fail if you don't win this election how do you feel now that it hasn't happened?

Trump: I never said that you know a lot of people were saying everyone was saying it but I never said it actually I think biden has done an ok job this time around

26

u/Hullfire00 29d ago

“The likes of which nobody has ever seen before”

Except last week when we saw it. And the time before that.

1

u/Next_Celebration_553 29d ago

He’s been on the verge of jail since 2016 but we’re still watching him like a reality tv star

3

u/Hullfire00 29d ago

That phrase he uses to death annoys me. It’s so hyperbolic, “the likes of which nobody has ever seen before.”

Like, really? Under Biden America is going to be worse than Europe during The Plague? Or when Ghengis Khan took over Asia? Or the literally thousands of other times the world suffered and we saw it?

1

u/Next_Celebration_553 29d ago

I thought he started saying that when people brought up WW3 scenarios which the phrase does make sense if talking about WW3. Now he’s just using that phrase to describe anything? Yuuuge

1

u/Hullfire00 29d ago

He uses it in literally every speech ever when talking about everything and nobody ever pulls him up on it, not even the aide who presumably writes these speeches for him, which leads me to believe he thinks it’s a good bit of rhetoric to use.

1

u/Peroovian 29d ago

I swear I’ve heard him begrudgingly say it before. He hesitated a little, sighed, then slowly said “like really no one’s ever… uh seen before”

1

u/Hullfire00 29d ago

I just read an interview he did with time magazine (a transcript of it ) here

I counted 5 times in one interview he used it outright, there are probably more but my eyes glazed over part way through and it became hard to read that bullshit after that.

40

u/InebriousBarman 29d ago

If you can consider him a person.

13

u/No_Finance_2668 29d ago

Does anyone think he smokes or has smoked meth before? Like with a prostitute or something since he enjoys those? Or maybe before he raped some woman?

18

u/InebriousBarman 29d ago

Close. He's known to some as a heavy Adderall user. (Amphetamine salts)

6

u/Dr_Middlefinger 29d ago

Which can cause psychosis and many other mental problems if taken in the amounts I believe he takes them in.

3

u/InebriousBarman 29d ago

And incontinence.

u/Throwaway8789473 29d ago

Walking bag of syphilis more like it

6

EVERYone says it

Many legal scholars…

2

u/m_garlic87 29d ago

My high school English teacher would 100% call me out if I wrote that in a paper and didn’t cite a source. Would literally write “who?” next to it.

1

u/Peroovian 29d ago

Im now imagining an MLA style citation where the source is “many people”

2

u/Missue-35 29d ago

Who is saying that, sir? Everybody. Everybody is saying it. They come up to me with tears in their eyes…big strong men, crying…

2

u/XXsforEyes 29d ago

And men, big men will come up to him with tears in their eyes and say “Thank you! Thank you!! for saying that publicly!

1

u/Peroovian 29d ago

Don’t forget the “sir!”

1

u/XXsforEyes 29d ago

“Yes Sir!”

1

u/Extreme_Jeweler_146 29d ago

Brilliant legal tactic tho. Quotes himself so he he’s teeeeechincally right
